Welcome Colorado Patriots Fans

WHERE WICKED SMAAHT SPORTS FANS MEET

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • 10/5/17
Greetings Fellow New England Patriots Football Fans,

A win is a win, although that was one of the ugliest I think I’ve ever seen.  Brady is going to get seriously hurt if they don’t give him more protection.  To have Tom, the Cardiac Kid, once again take us right up to the end can be gut-wrenching.

Our next game is against the New York Jets in New York.  They always come ready to play and it certainly won’t be a easy win.  It starts at 11:00 AM Mountain Time on Sunday.

We are collecting canned goods and boxed foods for Care and Share for the month of October.   We are collecting canned goods and boxed foods for Care and Share for the month of October.   Please come with a donation to put in the gray totes. Anyone who brings in 10 cans, please come see me (or this week, Cheryl) and you will get an extra halftime raffle ticket.

We are also raffling off a Rob Gronkowski autographed picture for the month of October. 100% of the proceeds will go to Care and Share.  Tickets are $1 and the winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday, October 29th in between the 3rd and 4th quarters. You do not have to be there to win. If the winner is not present, then we will draw a second ticket as a back-up. The winning ticket numbers will be put on Face book and sent out in the email. You will have until Sunday, the 5th of November to get in touch with me. If no one claims that winning ticket, and the second winner has not contacted me, by the start of the 3rd quarter of the Chargers Game on the 5th, we will start the process all over again and we will draw another ticket in between the 3rd and 4th quarters.

Beer specials for the month of October are: Breckenridge Vanilla Porter  $5 and Bud light $3.50.

Service at the Fox and Hound this past weekend was fabulous.  Whatever the issue was it has obviously been straightened out.

ATTENTION: MARK YOUR CALENDAR - OCTOBER 22ND - We meet the Atlanta Falcons again.  It’s a Sunday night and in order to commemorate this “reunion” we will be using the infamous score 3-28 for our halftime raffles!!  Yes we will have 28 great prizes and 3 crappy ones.  So even though it’s a Sunday night, you will not want to miss this!!

Read the bottom of this letter for info on our November festivities when the Pats come out to play the Broncos.  See you all Thursday night.  Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team.  GO PATS!

  • 2/3/17 Are you watching it all and listening to it all? I love this week before the Super Bowl.

A few announcements: Some are repeats but worth reading again. NEW INFO IN RED!

The menu for the buffet for the Super Bowl is as follows:Spinach Dip with Veggies, Caesar Salad, Clam Chowder, Dinner Rolls with Butter, Chicken Tenders, Baked Ziti (1/2 Tomato Sauce, 1/2 Alfredo Sauce) and 4 kinds of Wings with dipping sauce. Dessert will be Strawberry Shortcake. I would like a headcount as soon as possible, please. Clam Chowder will be served one half hour before the game. Salad will be out at the beginning of the first quarter. The rest of the food will come out halfway through the first quarter. Keep in mind that if you respond that you are taking the buffet, you are responsible for paying for it. I give the number to the Fox and Hound and they order food accordingly. Wean always add a few if you forget to email me back. This is a great deal. Thanks. WE STILL NEED A BUNCH OF PEOPLE TO GET UP OUR NUMBERS FOR THE BUFFETT. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU'RE INTERESTED. I DON'T WANT TO CANCEL IT.

    PPP members: $20 & kids 2 to 10-$12. Non-members $25 & $15.

I sent out an email asking some of you to come to the Fox and Hound early on Sunday to decorate. If you do not receive this email, DO NOT SHOW UP EARLY. I already have enough volunteers and won't be needing anymore. I followed this up with a call. If you haven't heard from me please don't come early. The Fox will open it's doors at 10 AM. That's the earliest you can get in.

I WILL NOT BE TAKING ANYMORE MEMBERSHIPS THIS YEAR. NO ONE CAN JOIN SUNDAY, SO THAT THEY CAN SIT IN THE NORTH ROOM.

    1. During playoffs, we have a rule that we ask members not to bring in any non-members to the North Room. Now we all understand that there are houses that are divided and we certainly don't want to split married couples...LOL. We are talking about people that come with 3 or 4 nonmembers. Or 5 fans of the opposing team to watch the game with them. Please come, we want you all there, we are just asking that our room be for members only. There will be plenty of room in the main room and the South Room will also be strictly for us. I have had many people comment that if they pay the dues, they would like to be able to sit in the room. We obviously can't accommodate everyone, so it is first come, first served. This will be strictly enforced. Have an unusual circumstance? Call me. ( Hint: Having a family member in town applies usually to about 20 of you so the answer will be no!) Bring a non-member to the North Room, you and your friend will be removed. Last week, I was not there until the very beginning of the game, for the Super Bowl, I will be there all day. It is only fair so please....stick to the rules.
    2. Once the game begins, no more saving seats!! No calling the bar to save a table. No asking another member to save a table. No coming in to save a table by putting belongings there and leaving. If you want a table, there will be someone there at all times.
    3. We are still raffling off the Gronkowski autographed jersey. All proceeds will be going to the Pikes Peak Region - Peace Officers Memorial which will be built at Memorial Park. This Memorial will cover all of El Paso County Fallen Officers as well as Teller County. This includes Security Forces at all of the bases. We will sell tickets up until the end of the last game the Patriots play. The ticket will be drawn by Lieutenant David Edmondson of the Colorado Springs Police Department. You do not have to be present to win. 100% of the money from the sale of the raffle tickets will be given to the Memorial Fund. We do this fundraiser in honor of Garrett Swasey, Dave's son.
    4. We will have 5 drink specials for Sunday!
    5. There will be LOTS of great raffle prizes! We are going to continue what we started last week. I have been asked for years if people can buy extra tickets for the halftime raffle prizes. We have always said no. I have talked to other club organizers and most have all switched to a buy proposition. We do not want to do that. We will keep our raffle 1 ticket for every member but will also add that you may buy extra tickets for $1. Extra tickets will only be sold to Club Members. All the proceeds will go to our charity. We have upped the prizes a bit for SUPER BOWL, so trust me...you'll love them!! These tickets will be sold separately. Joe will not be selling them.
    6. We already know that we have Fox News coming on Sunday. The Gazette will also be there. I don’t know how many other stations will show up. We need LOUD people at the game. Come dressed in all your glory. I would like to see everyone come dressed in Patriot attire. Come on down. GO PATS!
    7. PLEASE REMEMBER OUR WAIT STAFF. They work very hard and essentially, you occupy their table for about 6-7 hours sometimes. 6 people for 5-6 hours with a $200 tab and a $5 tip is just wrong. IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, SEE ME OR THE MANAGER BUT PLEASE DO NOT STIFF THE WAITRESS. WE CAN'T FIX A PROBLEM WE KNOW NOTHING ABOUT.

  • 1/21/17 This Sunday, January 22nd, 4:40 PM, Fox and Hound, all rooms, dressed in all your glory....be there.

    A few announcements:

    1. There will be LOTS of great raffle prizes! We are going to try something new this year just for this game and maybe any other subsequent games this year! (Can't jinx us!) I have been asked for years if people can buy extra tickets for the halftime raffle prizes. We have always said no. i have talked to other club organizers and most have all switched to a buy proposition. We do not want to do that. We will keep our raffle 1 ticket for every member but will also add that you may buy extra tickets for $1. All the proceeds will go to our charity. This is on a trial basis. This will not be in effect for the regular season. If it doesn't work out...no harm, no foul. We have upped the prizes a bit for this week, so trust me...you'll love them!! These tickets will be sold separately. Joe will not be selling them. The prizes will be on display, so you do not have to take my word on how good they are. Tickets will be sold where they are being displayed. (Place to be decided tomorrow.)
    2. We will draw the raffle tickets as usual at halftime, but because we have 25 prizes, we are going to call out the numbers and then go on to the next ticket. We will not be announcing it 3 times. If by the end of the 3rd quarter, there are some prizes that have not been picked up, then we will redraw numbers for the remaining prizes. Same thing...but if at the end of the fourth, we have unclaimed prizes, then they will be saved for our next game.
    3. The smoking porch will not be for smokers tomorrow. It will be closed off and heated for extra seating. Smokers will have to go out the front door. That will be the designated spot. We need LOUD people at the game. Did you hear Jules? Come on down. GO PATS!

I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT IF YOU WANT TO SIT IN THE NORTH ROOM...GET THERE EARLY. See you the 22nd.

  • 12/31/16 Well, another win and we are now 13-2 going up against the Dolphins 10-5. Don’t think that means easy. We lost it last year and I truly think had we had the homefield advantage for the AFC, we would have beat them!!! So we have to win this one and I don’t think Tom is going to lose this. So come loud and be ready to cheer. The game time was not flexed and remains the same at 11:00 AM.

Great news, Late Christmas present, the three we love to see have been eliminated: Broncos, Ravens and Colts!!! Nice Christmas gift.

We collected a couple of hundred toys for Toys for Tots and by raffling off the Brady shirt, we raised another $700. Great job as always. We have such a generous group.

Our last fundraiser of the year is for the Pikes Peak Region Peace Officer Memorial in honor of our member Garrett Swasey, and essentially for all Fallen Officers of our area. We will be raffling off an autographed Rob Gronkowski Jersey!!! This will be worth MILLIONS in a few years. This jersey was given to us by the kind generosity of the Krafts and Stacey James and Fred Kirsch. The tickets will be $3 or 2/$5. The drawing of the ticket will be after the LAST GAME we play. You may write your name and number on the ticket if you want or just be present for the drawing. I will of course place the ticket number in our email and on Facebook. So throw out whatever tickets are in your landyard except of course your Members Only Raffle ticket, the big red one. We will start selling tickets tomorrow at the game.

For Pats weekend in Denver, I never gave my big shout out and thank you to all of our wonderful members who make this club run so efficiently. It was an awesome time and even though it ended suddenly on a crazy note, having 4 Broncos Fans get arrested for trying to break up our celebration, it added a little zing to the festivities!! No harm, no foul with the Sheraton. They know that it was absolutely not our fault and said they would welcome us back with open arms. Thank you to Fred Kirsch, and Mike Reiss for showing up to the party and helping out with some silly things we like to do. Huge Thanks to Mr. Kraft and Stacey James for their substantial donation of some really great prizes for our charity raffle. Their endless generosity is just astounding. Thanks to the Flight Attendants who show up every year at our parties. We love to have them. A GREAT BIG THANKS TO THE FOLLOWING FOR ALL THE FANTASTIC HELP IN SETTING UP AND RUNNING THE PARTY AND TAILGATE: Barry And Sandy Aneda, Linda and Travis Finch, Bea O'Hare, Cody Neumann, Joyce and Bernie Kokinos, Bill And Dee Castle, Dan and Tommy Gerson, Marcus Cary, Ken and LaVonne Lake, , Tim Knapp, Kevin and Roberta McCarthy and especially Cheryl Cosky and of course my partner in crime as well as in life, my husband Kevin. Huge hugs to all.

I think changing to a new locale ended the bad juju for us winning out here.

A quick note: Just as we do not allow people to ask to solicit funds for very worthwhile charities, we also do not allow people to sell products at our games. We have been asked to sell: Girl Scout Cookies, Scentsy Candles, Pampered Chef, wrapping paper, etc. etc. etc. I was approached by a woman to sell Patriots Wine and Beer glasses. I politely told her no and explained my reasoning. And the next thing you know…she sent a post to the Patriots Fans of Denver that she would be at the Fox and Hound selling them on Sunday. I called Fox and Hound and spoke to one of the managers and she said she had not been approached by anyone and as a matter of fact, she also posted on their page. Then I turn around and she posted on our Facebook page. Needless to say, the managers at Fox and Hound addressed it with her in a conversation where she rudely hung up on them. Norwood, (the company that owns the strip mall) will have extra security visible for Sunday. Please, if you see anyone selling anything in the parking lot or out of the trunk of their car, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!

Well, Belated Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah to all of our members. As usual, a special shout out to all of service members active and retired. A special thank you and Happy Holidays to all who have a family member deployed. We thank you for your sacrifice as well. Without all these brave men and women, we would not be celebrating all of the freedoms that all of us take for granted today and everyday.

Happy New Year to all of us. May 2017 be a better year and bring with it peace, prosperity and good health to all. Be safe out there.

Remember that you have to be wearing your landyard in order to get your 15% discount for your food and drink. Remember to come dressed in all of your glory! Let’s end our regular season with a bang!

  • 12/11/16 Well, another win against the Rams, but we lost the Gronk. Total Bummer.

    1. Our next game (in case you didn’t realize it and showed up today at the Fox and Hound) is Monday at 6:20 PM against the biggest street thugs around…the Baltimore Ravens in Foxboro. As we come to them 10-2, they are coming in at 7-5. Hopefully, it will not be a nailbiter! But it will be the usual bloodbath. They always come ready for a rumble.
    2. REMEMBER THE GAME IS MONDAY. Because of a conflict in scheduling, the Fox and Hound have 2 Christmas parties in the North and South rooms. We will all be sitting in the main room. They are preparing a special surprise for the inconvenience!!
    3. I am sure that we won’t get too big a crowd, but if you have time, stop by and sign our three (2 ft. by 3 ft) cards. Get well for Gronk, Merry Christmas to the team and Happy Hannukah for the Krafts. They will be going home with the guys from PFW on the plane. So stop by for 5 minutes. I will be there from 4 on.
    4. Our charity for December is Toys for Tots. Even though we already took our picture and held up the toys, we will be collecting until the 24th!! We will be raffling off another jersey for December. Tickets are $1 and the same rule applies with the ticket drawing. We will draw that ticket on December 24th in between the 3rd and 4th quarter. All proceeds will go to the Toys for Tots. The Members Only prize for this month is a Leather/wool Patriots Letterman Jacket. That will also be drawn on the 24th!
    5. We need help this weekend…both Saturday and Sunday morning at the tailgate. Set-up, decorating, takedown, selling our merchandise, selling raffle tickets, putting on bracelets and checking people in, serving food etc. Please see me or Cheryl Cosky who is in charge of the Tailgate. Thanks.
    6. Please pay in advance to me for both events. We need a final headcount by Wednesday for the caterer.
    7. Patriots–Broncos December 17-18, 2016 Weekend Events

    (Paypal is up and running!)

Yes, it is a busy time of the year, but if you have never been to one of our events, you don’t know what you’re missing. Even if you don’t have tickets to the game, go to the Night Before Party and then the tailgate and then head back to the Bar. You’ll never forget it. Come one, come all. Let Pikes Peak Pats have a great showing.

  • 11/30/16 In his first time playing at his home since he became a professional football player, Tom gave us a great win. He was supposed to go the year he went out for his ALC. So this was huge for him, as well as Edelman who was back at his home too! What a great game.

    1. Our next game is Sunday at11:00 AM against the Los Angeles Rams in Foxboro. As we go to them 9-2, they are coming in at 4-7. Hopefully, it will not be a nailbiter!
    2. Sunday is Ice Cream Sundae Sunday!! We’ll have ice cream starting after half-time!
    3. We raffled off an autographed Jerod Mayo Jersey for the month of November with 100% of the proceeds going to the Homefront Cares. This is a local military charity that we sponsor. ALL of the money they raise stays here. We raised $700!! Way to go, guys. Great job. The winning ticket is 8311477, the winner has til next Sunday by the end of the game to claim it. Call, text, email, message or show up. The back up winner has already been identified!! Our Members Only Prize for November was a $100 gift Certificate to the New England Patriots Proshop!! Just in time for Christmas shopping. That was won by Justin Grant.
    4. Our charity for December is Toys for Tots. I would like to do our annual club picture at halftime out in the parking lot. If you are going to bring in some toys, could you please bring them in this Sunday so that we can use them for the picture? Please don’t forget!! We will be raffling off another jersey for December. Tickets are $1 and the same rule applies with the ticket drawing. We will draw that ticket on December 24th in between the 3rd and 4th quarter. The Members Only prize for this month is a Leather/wool Patriots Letterman Jacket. That will also be drawn on the 24th!
    5. Did you notice anything new on Sunday? Yes, we have a TV out on the porch and Tim, the manager at the Fox and Hound had an electrician throw a wire from the North Room to the South Room. Now everyone can hear Cody’s calls for First Down and Gronk Me!!! If you see Tim, make sure you say thank you. This means that we will need someone each week who can sit at the top of the pool table to control the volume during commercials so everyone in the South Room can hear the great music that Kevin plays. This also means you can hear who won the squares!!
    6. A quick word about charities…we do 4 charity fundraisers a year. We try to do those that impact the most. I am asked by multiple people, this past week alone, 3 requests, to come to our games and get up to speak about their charity or have me ask in our email or sell things at the club, etc. We have made it a hard and fast rule that we still only do the 4 that we do every year. So when I say no to Breast, Lung, Pancreatic, Ovarian, Brain and Bone Cancer, Leukemia, Lymphoma, Alzheimers, Parkinson’s, March of Dimes, or Muscular Dystrophy which is near and dear to my heart, I say no so that we don’t overwhelm our members. I hope this does not cause hard feelings.

    1. Our next game is Sunday and THE TIME HAS BEEN FLEXED. It is now at 2:25 PM. It is in New York against the Jets. As we go to them 8-2, they are coming in at 3-7, certainly not worth a Sunday Night game. But regardless, we will probably garner better ratings for the NFL. LOL!
    2. Looking for something to do Thursday morning? One of our members, James Hodnett is the General Manager of P.F. Changs will be preparing 1500+ meals for the homeless at PF Chang's at 1725 Briargate Pkwy. From 7 AM til 12 Noon. Anyone that wants to come help out will be greatly appreciated.

  • 11/19/16 God, I hated losing to those morons but it just looked like we didn’t show up.

Next game is tomorrow against the 49ers in California. This is Tom’s first time playing at his home since he became a professionsl football player. He was supposed to go the year he went out for his ALC. So this is huge for him as well as Edelman who is back at his home too! Should be a great game. Hopefully we will decimate them. Kapernick makes me sick.

Happy Veterans to all of our members. We still have a few small military prizes for the half time raffle.

  • 11/10/16 Well, our bye is over with and we have now 8 games left. I am guessing that Roger had nothing to do with the schedule, cause he certainly wouldn’t have allowed us to have a nice mid-season break. Next game is this Sunday, against the Seattle Seahawks. This is Pete Carroll’s first time back at Foxboro since he left all those years ago. The game is at 6:30 PM. Lots of important info in this email!!!

This year, the Fox and Hound will be having monthly specials. The specials for November are a $3.50 Miller Lite Pint. $5 Sam Adams Winter Lager and $5 Breckinridge Porter Vanilla Pint. Remember that you have to be wearing your landyard in order to get your 15% discount.

A huge thank you to everyone who brought in cans and boxes of food for our Care and Share collection. We collected 303 pounds. The staff at the drop off center were very impressed. Most especially with the check we gave them. Again thank you so much for buying tickets. We raised $718!!! They were thrilled. We have a winner for the Edelman jersey. Scott Lord will be picking up his jersey this Sunday. Sorry to our back-up!! The winning ticket number was #8311398.

We are also raffling off a Tom Brady Jersey for the month of November. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Homefront Cares. This is a local military charity that we sponsor. Last but not least: We have been asked to do another Hungry Heroes greeting. So I am looking for volunteers to come out and help us. Catch? It’s at 3:45 AM on Sunday morning!!! We will have to be there by 3:15. Since our game isn’t til 6:30 PM….you can go back to sleep! Any takers? Also even if you can’t do the greeting, we are looking for bakers so that when we give them a cheeseburger, and drink, we can also offer a homemade dessert. NOT store bought. Cookies, brownies, squares. Anything that is quick and easy to pick up and eat. Nothing that you need a fork or spoon. Donations can be dropped off at my house on Saturday.

  • 11/02/16 What a great win last Sunday. I just loved the look on good ole Rex's face. It was priceless.Don't forget that this upcoming Sunday the 6th is our BYE week. There will be no game. So go out and enjoy a regular old Sunday afternoon!!

This year, the Fox and Hound will be having monthly specials. I don't know the specials for November yet.Remember that you have to be wearing your landyard in order to get your 15% discount for your food and drink.

  • 10/29/16 Not a great win last week. I think we showed how much we need to improve. But a W is a W no matter how you get it. Next game against Buffalo. Oh, please, I soooooo don’t want to lose this and have to listen to that moronic idiot. We are coming in 6-1 and they are 4-3. The game starts at 11:00 AM. Hope I see my regular decorating crew there to help out! Kevin and I will be there by 9:00 AM. I have my cousin here visiting with me and she is so excited to be going to our bar. So do me a favor, the woman sitting next to me will be my cousin Barbara. Say “hi Barbara”. She’ll wonder how everyone knows her name!

Remember that you have to be wearing your landyard in order to get your 15% discount for your food and drink. This year, the Fox and Hound will be having monthly specials. For October, they will have $5 Sam Adams Octoberfest Pint, $5 Pint of Pulp Fusion and $3.50 Coors Light Pints. And still the best bargain….$8 for a half rack of ribs.

Anyone who brings in 10 cans, please come see me and you will get an extra halftime raffle ticket. With 130-150 people coming each week we should have at least that many cans or boxes. Please bring in some food!! We are also raffling off a Julian Edelman Jersey for the month of October. 100% of the proceeds will go to Care and Share. Tickets are $1 and the winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday, October 30th in between the 3rd and 4th quarters. You do not have to be there to win. If the winner is not present, then we will draw a second ticket as a back-up. The winning ticket numbers will be put on Face book and sent out in the email. You will have until Sunday, the 6th of November to get in touch with me. If no one claims that winning ticket, and the second winner has not contacted me, we will start the process all over again and we will draw another ticket in between the 3rd and 4th quarters during the Seahawks game on the 13th.

Also this weekend is Members Only weekend. We will also be drawing for the Autographed Chandler Jones Jersey.

Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team. GO PATS! Here’s to #5!!

  • 10/20/16 Now that Tom has been to Foxboro, I guess we can really say, “Tom is back.” That game against the Bengals was great. As Bill says, we have a lot to improve on, but I like where we’re going. The whole Burfict debacle is yet another instance of the NFL being idiots. Unbelievable. Next game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. Even though Ben is out with a knee injury, it will not be an easy game. Of course with their coach whinning as usual, the game will definitely be interesting. The game doesn’t start until 2:35 PM. This makes getting seats really weird. Sometimes we have to wait until people get up. I don’t know what to tell you. Some of us will be there around 11:00 AM.

SAVING SEATS….as usual, this is an issue that comes up every year. The rule will now be that you can only save seats up until a half an hour before the game starts. After that any unclaimed seats are open for anyone. Also, if you put 2 tables together that normally seat 8, you are changing them into tables of 6 so anyone can pull up a seat to join you to make the 8.

Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team. GO PATS! Here’s to #5!!

  • 10/15/16 Wow, can you believe how great Sunday was? Tom is back. Don’t know if I have been that excited in a while. Please make sure that you take a look at the music video that we did. A bunch of us, and by the way there was absolutely no drinking involved…made a video to celebrate Brady’s return. New words sung to the tune “My Boyfriends Back” with no talent but lots of fun. Make sure you “Like” our page and ask your family to also do the same.!! Next game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Foxboro. I soooooo wish we could be there for the absolute thunderous applause that will be heard ‘round the world.

  • 9/29/16 Does it get any better than this? Was that blowout of the Texans better than anything? 3 out of 4 and our last without Tom Terrific this Sunday! So, we have had lots of fodder from good ole’ Rex, the moron. This is the one game I definitely do not want to lose. Let’s keep our fingers crossed about the quarterback craziness!!!

  • 9/13/16 To my complete dismay and utter embarrassment, I found this email that I wrote on the night of February 2nd of this year and NEVER MAILED OUT!!! I wrote it after all of the hullabaloo was over and we had evened out the finances, etc. So….over 7 months late:

    FEBRUARY 2, 2016
I know this is long but please read. It's my great, big thanks to everyone.
Well, the craziness is over. I'm all organized and have everything straightened out in boxes for next year. And what's left…is my thank yous. First of all, cheers to a fabulous season to Tom and the gang, what a year! Football is such a joy to all of us and now the Sundays will seem so empty. Thanks Tom for one of the best rides ever, we are so proud of you all and so proud of our team, you represent New England well, as well as we hoped we represented you in Colorado in November and again in January. We are all wearing our TOM patches with pride and solidarity.
To all of my Pikes Peak Pats members, who organized, stuffed, labeled, carried, put up, decorated, sold, braceleted, Hershey Kiss stickered, cleaned up etc. not once but twice, all my love, I truly can not do this without the great club that we are.
To Fred Kirsch and Stacey James, to Matt Sullivan and Miranda Mason, to Bob Socci, Scott Zolak, and to our favorite ESPN employee, Mike Reiss, to every news station from Boston, to Maine, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, and to Colorado Springs, who felt we were newsworthy enough for you to come visit. We hope we showed you a good time and showed you how strong the Pats Nation is in Colorado.
To Barry Inciong and the Patriots Tailgate, much gratitude for the guidance and advertisement. If you haven’t joined Patriots Tailgate, you have no idea what you’re missing. To the other New England Patriots Fan Club Organizers who are always ready with support, encouragement and advice for each other, thank you.
Thanks to the flight attendants who told me they had a blast and are always going to be welcome to come see us. As a matter of fact, next season! For all the fans who traveled from all the states across the nation, thank you for showing your Patriots pride and opening up your wallets and pocketbooks to help us. Thank you, thank you, and thank you again, Mr. Kraft…it was a complete and total blast being up on stage with you re-enacting a Super Bowl win.
If you haven’t seen our video clip, please watch it. It was taken by Tom Leyden a sportscaster from Channel 25, Fox in Boston. He did a great job!!
For those of us in the club and in Colorado Springs, this weekend took on a new meaning while raising funds for the Pikes Peak Region Peace Officer Memorial in memory of Garrett Swasey, a Mass native and PPP member. What we were able to accomplish transcends football. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would achieve what we did. If it had not been for the utterly phenomenal generosity of the Kraft Charitable Foundation, we would've never had such phenomenally wicked, awesome prizes to raffle. To the woman from Maine who slipped me $25 for the raffle and didn’t want tickets, to the guy from Vermont who’s brother-in-law was a cop, and shoved money in my hand and to the 2 cops from Cranston, Rhode Island who passed a patch and $200, then disappeared into the crowd….thank you, thank you. What class, what pride, what good ole’ New England stock we all hail from.
Hats off to Bob and Jonathan Kraft whose generosity knows no bounds and to Stacey James and Fred Kirsch for making sure the prizes got to us. It was truly beyond belief that Mr. Kraft, who is always such a great sport, not only came to see us all but so bigheartedly gave us the six AFC championship tickets….50 yard line, 12th row up behind the Patriots Bench!! For those 6 tickets alone, we raised almost $4000 in a little over an hour. I just don't know if the excitement could ever be truly communicated to anyone who wasn't there.
I would have written this post sooner, but as luck would have it, I came down with bronchitis right after the game and have been out flat. So feeling better and able to go out of the house, I wrapped up the year for us. Yesterday, Kevin and I (Cody had to go on a business trip!) had the honor of going to the Colorado Springs Police Headquarters to a meeting of the Police Departments that are represented by the Pikes Peak Region Peace Officer Memorial. We were so proud to be able to get a chance to talk about our club and all of the wonderful work that we do. As I told them, it starts with Mr. Kraft and trickles down. Dave Edmondson, the CSPD Lieutenant who is also the head of the committee, was the gentleman who came to our “Night Before” party and spoke to the crowd. He told everyone today at the meeting what a great club we have and how, even though a Broncos fan, he now has such a profound respect for the New England Patriots Organization. We were able to raise with the raffles, the cover charge, the Pin the Tail on the “Jackass”, the Photo Ops and the AFC tickets….$15,000. We did this for Garrett, we did this for his Dad, Dave and we did this because it was the right thing to do. I am so proud of all of us. To all of the other fan bases who bought tickets at the Fox and Hound, thank you for stepping up and realizing that this wasn’t about being Patriots fans, but about being Colorado Springers.
JFK once said, "A nation reveals itself not only by the men it produces, but also by the men it honors, the men it remembers." Thank you for joining us in respecting, honoring and remembering them.
Always a Pats fan, always proud, and we’re on to 2016!

And our letter for today 09-13-2016:

Greetings Fellow New England Patriots Football Fans,

Well, that was certainly a nail biter! Deja vu with the Broncos! I was personally impressed with Jimmy. Tough win at an away game. And can you believe that all 3 of our other AFC East teams lost?!? Just icing on the cake. We had a pretty good sized crowd, considering it was nationally televised, a Sunday night before school and work. Our second game of the season is this Sunday, September 11th at 11:00 AM Mountain Time. We are playing the Miami Dolphins at home.

Don’t forget that this is the weekend of the IAFF – Fallen Firefighters Weekend. Hopefully, we will have a bunch of guys show up. Make sure you try and say hi. For many, this is a wonderful event to come to after the somber ceremonies of the weekend.

I am going to bring the prizes for September’s Members Only Raffle to put on display so that you will get psyched to come on Sunday, the 22nd!! If you are on Facebook, make sure you “Like” our page and encourage all your family and friends to like us too. Let’s try to get to 2000 this fall.

The annual, "Anne you have to do something about the lack of seating in the room" conversations have already started. Our general rule: Seats can only be saved up to the start of the game. After that all bets are off. I don’t know what the answer should be. I am open to suggestions.

I will have registration forms ready. Dues for the year is $20 for adults and $10 for kids (10 and under). Pretty soon we will have registration that can be done over the internet including paying with Paypal. It will cost $20 PLUS the fee that Paypal will charge, (about $1) but we have had so many ask for it.

Make sure you come and sign our “Hey Tom, We’ve got your back” poster. It’s 3x5 and we will be sending it to him after the game on the 22nd. Make sure you come by and sign it.

For September, the specials for the F and H are $5 Stella Artois and $3.50 Bud Light Pints. And a big one….$5 for a half rack of ribs. I tasted them and they are DELICIOUS!

    For new members:

We will again be having Members Only raffles where we will have 4 special raffle prize drawings for Members Only at the last game of the month. We will have these drawings on Thursday, September 22nd, Sunday, October 30th, and Sunday, November 27th, and the last one will be on Saturday, December 24th. If we go to the Superbowl, we will also have one then. The average value of the special Members Only raffle prize will be about $100. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. We keep on pulling numbers until we have a winner. Those numbers not present will be put back in the pile and can be pulled again later. You will be given that special ticket when you sign up and we strongly suggest that you put it immediately in your landyard. There will be NO, I repeat NO tickets given out as a replacement for lost tickets. NONE, NONE, NONE! Sign up now so that your ticket is in for the drawing on September 22nd.

Remember that you have to be wearing your landyard in order to get your 15% discount for your food. This year, the Fox and Hound will be having monthly specials.

We have some cool items for sale on the pool table where we do all of our business for the club. Come on by!!

Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team. GO PATS! Here’s to #5!!

  • 9/9/16 Are you ready for the real football season to begin? Well, I am. Our first game of the season is this Sunday, September 11th at 6:30 PM Mountain Time. We are playing the Arizona Cardinals in Phoenix.

We will be at our home bar. I know this is nationally televised, but we’d still like a great turn-out. We have a couple of surprises for our first game. For the first time since the Brady era began, we will not have Tom! Don’t even get me started on the b*&@#$%t with Goodell! We still have some TOM patches for sale.

I will have registration forms ready. Dues for the year is $20 for adults and $10 for kids (10 and under). Pretty soon we will have registration that can be done over the internet including paying with Paypal. It will cost $20 PLUS the fee that Paypal will charge, but we have had so many ask for it.

Special request: As most of you know, Pikes Peak Pats members, working with The Homefront Cares Organization have been greeting Troops from Fort Carson here in Colorado Springs who are coming back from Afghanistan after being deployed for a year. They call this “Hungry Heroes” program. We greet them with a McDonald's quarter pounder, a drink and usually a dessert. We also give out free "Mother Hugs". Our name will be coming up soon. Please email me if you can help out. It will usually take up about 2 hours of your time. But we need your flexibility as sometimes the plane is delayed or sometimes come in earlier. We literally see them before their families. It will be the most rewarding 2 hours you have ever volunteered! Each organization is asked to provide up to 4-5 greeters for each flight we meet. I will need the name of every greeter for each flight and everyone will be asked to use a government issued photo ID at the gate to the A/DACG facility. If you can help out I will send out directions to you. Let me say that your presence, welcoming smile, and the quarter pounder w/cheese are very much appreciated by the returning soldiers and their leadership. Thanks for being there for our troops!

Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team. GO PATS! Here’s to #5!!

  • 8/26/16 Sorry, but even after I called and spoke to the manager and he told me NO last night, someone in the club called and talked to someone else and yes they are airing the game at Cleats East. I have called and spoken to the manager, herself and she guarantees me that the game will be on, so see you all there!!! Thoroughly disorganized and we will certainly look for another place next year for the pre-season.

  • 8/25/16 Well the next pre-season game is tomorrow night at 5:30 against the Panthers and we have NOWHERE to watch it. I am so bummed. The only place I have heard that has a remote chance of playing it is the Overtime Bar. Yes, that one that we used to always go to for our pre-season games. Other than that I suggest the Red Zone. I have a feeling that for the last game next Thursday, we will be in the same situation. That so stinks. GO PATS!

  • 8/18/16 SORRY BUT THERE WILL BE NO GAME TELEVISED TONIGHT AT CLEAT'S! SORRY, WHEN I SPOKE TO THEM THIS MORNING THERE WAS NO PROBLEM BUT NOW THERE IS. SO STAY HOME AND STREAM IT ON THE COMPUTER OR LISTEN TO FRED'S WORDS. HOPEFULLY, I'LL SEE YOU NEXT WEEK. I WILL SNED OUT AN EMAIL AS SOON AS I KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON.

  • 8/10/16 It's back!!!!! Come on down to Cleats East at 6120 Barnes Road off of Powers for our first pre-season game of the year. Thursday, August 11th 5:30. A more detailed letter about the club will be sent next week. We are still meeting at the Fox and Hound for all of our regular season games. Go Pats!!

  • 1/14/16 This Saturday, 2:30 PM, Fox and Hound, all rooms, dressed in all your glory....be there. The AFC Divisional Rounds begin! It's us against the Kansas City Chiefs. I don't know about anybody else, but I am looking for some payback.

We have all sorts of craziness going on in Foxboro, but we need to stay focused team. Let's not listen to all the nonsense until we have facts.

    A few announcements:

    1. During playoffs, we have a rule that we ask members not to bring in many non-members to the North Room. Call me.
    2. Once the game begins, no more saving seats!!
    3. We are still raffling off the Gronkowski autographed football.
    4. We will have a surprise beer special for Saturday!

We need LOUD people at the game. Come on down. GO PATS!

    BEAT THE CHIEFS!

  • 1/04/16 Well, that was certainly a heartbreak. We really needed that home field advantage but it is what it is. So get your complaining out of the way and let's get ourselves ready for the Divisional game. I have found 2 sources that are saying our game will be Saturday, the 16th at 2:30 our time. This could very well change as I am not looking at this as gospel. Thank God we have the bye week to rest everyone up, especially Brady. Leave it to that street thug Suh to be the one to hurt Tom. He is a waste of oxygen. For the Divisional game, we will have Whoopie Pie Saturday.

So come on down and cheer LOUDLY…WICKED LOUDLY.

During playoffs, we have a rule that we ask members not to bring in any non-members to the North or South Room. These rooms will be strictly for Pats fans. The Fox and Hound will not be seating any opposing fans in the South room either. The exception to this rule is for immediate family only. There will be plenty of room in the main room for fans who want to watch with friends. I have had many people comment that if they pay the dues, they would like to be able to sit in the room. We obviously can't accommodate everyone, so it is first come, first served. Once the game begins, no more saving seats!!

The raffle for the Throwback Tom Brady Jersey which was held last Sunday did have the winner call, text, email, telegram, instant message, and Face Book me!! Congrats to Greg Morse who is going to wear it proudly to the game in Foxboro on the 16th. We are so jealous Greg.

We have been selling tickets for the Autographed Gronkowski Football, so generously donated by the New England Patriots. They are $3 or 2 for $5. That raffle ticket will be pulled at the end of the last game we play for the 2015-2016 Season and Post-season. The winning ticket will be drawn by Dave Swasey, Garrett’s Dad or Elijah, Officer Swasey’s son. 100% of the proceeds of this Raffle will be going to the Pikes Peak Region Peace Officer Memorial in honor of a fellow New Englander and Pats Fan, Officer Garrett Swasey. You do not have to be present to win. This Memorial will cover all of El Paso County Fallen Officers as well as Teller County and includes Security Forces at all of our military bases. We are selling them like hotcakes. Our most sincere thanks for everyone's generosity. As an added note, many and I do mean many of opposing fans from all the various teams have been so kindly buying tickets.

Remember that we have a buy next week. So rest up and get ready to cheer and cheer loudly. Don't forget that we started the post-season last year at 12-4. Hopefully we will have back a pile of key players.

  • 11/29/15 Well, that was certainly a heartbreak. I think we are all so used to winning all of the time and never having such puzzling questions on our minds. There seemed to be such confusion with the beginning of the overtime with the coin toss! But we usually see Bill make choices and do things that can be off the wall and then they work out and we are all over him with praise and talk about what a genius he is. When something doesn't work out, (which is SOOOO UNUSUAL,) we CAN NOT become whiney fair-weather fans. I live by the mantra: In Bill We Trust. We have to back him and the team and just forge ahead. Remember we have one more opportunity to secure the home field advantage. That will be against the Miami Dolphins this up coming Sunday, January 3rd. The game has not been flexed and will still be at 11:00 AM our time. So come on down and cheer LOUDLY…WICKED LOUDLY.

This past weekend we had the raffle for the Members Only for the month of December and the winner was Cacki Wray. She won the Barbecue tools, meat platter, apron and potholder set and the beer holder. Congrats Cacki.

The raffle for the Throwback Tom Brady Jersey was also held on Sunday and the winning ticket was 220472. The winner has until next Sunday’s game to either call, email, message or text me: Amns1@aol.com, H - 719-535-0960 or C - 719-337-3781 or message me on Pikes Peak Pats Fanclub on Face Book. The next ticket, in case I do not hear from the first winner is 220432. If you have theat ticket please let me know so that we do not have to go through all the rigamarole of drawing again. The winner has until the half-time to claim his or her prize. It will immedialtely go to the 1st runner up or we will draw another 2 tickets at half-time.

We have already begun to sell tickets for the Autographed Gronkowski Football, so generously donated by the New England Patriots.

Let’s not forget to be good to our wait staff. Any questions or concerns should be taken up with the management or Cody or I.

Happy New Year, be safe and may all good blessings come to you and yours. And let’s not forget a trip to California next year!!!

Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest!

  • 12/17/15 3 GAMES LEFT!! Great game against the Texans! Loved the score. Good to see Vinny but also odd. I actually felt bad for him, and I am sure his heart wasn't in it. I suspect he is so wishing he was back with the team. Glad to see Gronk back but still worried that they brought him back too early. I am hoping that they will let him rest this upcoming weekend.

As you all know, with the loss of the Dolphins on Monday nights game, we have clinched the AFC East title for our 14th time. Seventh straight time in a row. The Titans are coming in on Sunday at 3-10 and we are, as we all know, 11-2. The game is at 11:00 AM our time. Come on down. Come dressed in all of your gear and CHEER LOUDLY! Depending on how everyone else plays we may be able to clinch the bye this weekend!

The Members Only prize for December will be on display this week. It is a New England Patriots bar-b-cue utensil set, a New England Patriots can cooler, a New England Patriots chef's apron and oven mitt and lastly a New England Patriots platter!

This Sunday we will have a few things going on, so please read 'til the end of this email!!

    1. This Sunday is going to be "Dessert Sunday". It was so popular last year that many of you have been asking when we were going to do it again. So Sunday, bring in a HOMEMADE dessert, NOT STORE BOUGHT dessert, and get an extra ticket for our raffles. Please do not make enough for 100 people, make one batch or one plate or one pan, etc. Last time we had too much.
    2. Secondly, don't forget to bring your new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. At the halftime we will all go out to the side of the building like we did for our group picture and take a picture holding up toys with our U.S. Marines! Many thanks to Josh Campo! Let's fill up those boxes.
    3. We will still be selling red raffle tickets for $1 for the throwback jersey of Brady with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Toys for Tots. That ticket will be drawn on December 27th in between the 3rd and 4th quarters of the game.
    4. We still want members to take a guess on the Guess the M&M's and Guess the Hershey Kisses jars. It’s free! The person who guesses the number closest without going over will win the Prize – for the M & M’s the prize will be a Picnic Cooler Tote and the prize for the Hershey Kisses is a 28” Expandable Duffel Bag. The closest going over will win the containers, so we will have 4 winners. They will be announced on Sunday, the 20th at the end of the 3rd quarter. One guess for each container to all Members. So come on up and take a guess.
    5. FINAL FUNDRAISER FOR 2015 - We will selling raffle tickets for our final fundraiser of the season. For those that didn’t know, Garrett Swasey, the UCCS Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty at the Planned Parenthood Shooting was a Melrose, MA native and a PPP member. His Dad, Dave, is a face you would all recognize as he rarely misses a game. In honor of Garrett Swasey, we will be raffling off an autographed Rob Gronkowski Football very generously donated to us by the New England Patriots Football Organization in Officer Swasey’s memory. We will sell tickets up until the end of the last game the Patriots play. All proceeds will go to the Pikes Peak Region Peace Officer Memorial which will unfortunately be adding a new name. It will be built at Memorial Park. Tickets will be $3 or 2 for $5. You do not have to be present to win. 100% of the money from the sale of the raffle tickets will be given to the Memorial Fund. This Memorial will cover all of El Paso County Fallen Officers as well as Teller County. This includes Security Forces at all of our military bases. The winning ticket will be drawn by Dave Swasey, Garrett’s Dad or Elijah, Officer Swasey’s son.
    6. We will have a great photo op for all members. We will have our new backdrop, red carpet, our two standees of Brady and Gronkowski and our Super Bowl Trophy! It is supposed to be a fairly nice day and we will have it all set up on the porch!

See you all SUNDAY!!! GO PATS!

  • 12/09/15 Well, that certainly wasn’t pretty. Complete implosion. I feel I am to blame for that loss as I never make such rash statements like I did in last week’s email: “This should hopefully be one of our more predictable wins for the season.” I take full blame. Enough about that. It’s over and done and we’re onto Houston.

The Members Only prize (which is a $100 gift certificate for the Patriots Pro Shop, just in time for the holidays) was won by Pierre Castellares. Congrats, Pierre.

    TOYS for TOTS
We have started collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Please come with a donation to put in the collection boxes. We will be collecting the toys until the 20th of December where we will go outside and take a huge group picture with a few Marines including our very own Josh Campo who is so graciously organizing this years’ collection. This serves as the perfect opportunity to teach your young ones to give back. We will also be raffling off a Authentic Throwback Brady Jersey for $1 per raffle ticket. All of the proceeds for this raffle for the month of December will go to Toys for Tots. That ticket will be pulled on the 27th of December in between the 3rd and 4th quarters. The winning ticket number will be put on Face book and sent out in the email. You will have until Sunday, the 3rd of January to get in touch with me. If no one claims that winning ticket, we will start the process all over again and we will draw another ticket in between the 3rd and 4th quarters during the Dolphins game.

    GUESSING GAMES
We will also be doing our annual “Guess the M & M’s” and “Guess the Hershey Kisses” games. We will have 2 containers filled with candy. Everyone who is a member will have the chance to take one guess for each jar. It’s free! The person who guesses the number closest without going over will win the Prize – for the M & M’s the prize will be a Picnic Cooler Tote and the prize for the Hershey Kisses is a 28” Expandable Duffel Bag. The closest going over will win the containers, so we will have 4 winners. They will be announced on Sunday, the 20th during the Titans game. One guess for each container to all Members. So come on up and take a guess.

    NEXT GAME
Our next game is Sunday against the Texans. It has been flexed to 6:30 at night. Our first meet with Vinny, I do miss him so much.

    OUR SUPER WICKED AWESOME DVD
For those of you who were at the Fox and Hound last Sunday, you got the chance to see our DVD sent to us for the “Night Before” party that showed a shout-out from none other than Tom Brady, Devin McCourty and Rob Gronkowski. I will have it on our Face Book by the time you read this email. Share it with all of your friends and families.

    FINAL FUNDRAISER FOR 2015
Starting with the Titans game on the 20th, we will start to sell raffle tickets for our final fundraiser of the season. The winning ticket will be drawn by Dave Swasey, Garrett’s Dad who is a loyal PPP member.

Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest! Kevin will be doing our great music in the North Room and our CIO, Chris Weaver has graciously agreed to do music in the South room.

Linda Finch has volunteered to work the volume control for the South Room.

If you are on Facebook, make sure you “Like” our page and encourage all your family and friends to like us too. We are now over 1000 likes!! Thanks everyone.

  • 12/05/15 Well, it’s been a long week. I am finally caught up…I think. Our next game is this Sunday at 2:30 PM against the Eagles in Foxboro. As usual, they are trash talking and are coming in at 4-7, getting all cocky on us. This should hopefully be one of our more predictable wins for the season.

We will be drawing the Members Only prize (which is a $100 gift certificate for the Patriots Pro Shop, just in time for the holidays) in between the 3rd and 4th quarters. As usual, the rule of having to be present is in effect.

We are going to start collecting new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Please come with a donation to put in the collection boxes. We will be collecting the toys until the 20th of December where we will go outside and take a huge group picture with a few Marines including our very own Josh Campo who is so graciously organizing this years collection. This serves as the perfect opportunity to teach your young ones to give back. We will also also raffling off a throwback Brady Authentic Jersey for $1 per raffle ticket. The closest going over will win the containers, so we will have 4 winners. They will be announced on Sunday, the 20th during the Titans game.

Don’t forget the Texans game on the 13th has been flexed to 6:30 at night.

    Broncos-Patriots Weekend:
To say it was a success is an understatement. It was an Epic Event for the Pikes Peak Pats Club! Even the media stated that we throw the Best Pre-Game Parties. Thanks for all the teamwork to make it a success!!! Katie Mullen’s was positively out of this world. We had Stacey James, VP of Public Relations, Fred Kirsch,Head of PFW, Eric Scalavino, Writer for PFW, Matt Smith, head of all Sports Production and Miranda Mason, the new (this year) reporter for Patriots Today. The prizes for our raffle for Nate Solders’ charity were through the roof. Fred and Stacey brought us Salute to Service Shirts, and Salute to Service hats. We had an autographed football of Nate Solder’s, signed pictures from Tedi Bruschi, Troy Brown, and Tom Brady, and as our grand prize, we also had a signed football from Rob Gronkowski. All of the money raised will go for the families of children with Kidney cancer through the Joe Andruzzi Foundation. We had a “Pin the Tail on the Jackass” contest for $1 a try. We have a new background to take photos in front of with a red carpet just like we were at a red carpet event in Hollywood. Combined with our 2 Cutouts of Brady and Gronkowski, it was the perfect back drop for great pictures. We had an enthusiastic crowd with a couple of great surprises. We had pictures for $5 and “Pin the Tail on the Jackass” for $1. We raised a huge amount with raffle tickets. We also had a collection the next day at the tailgate and although we don’t have the final amount, it is over $2000. Many people went to the Breakfast the next day at the Blake Street Tavern. Then we had a great tailgate. Other than the meat freezing overnight, it was a complete success. Many thanks to the Chart House for their delicious Clam Chowder. We were very fortunate to have Nate Solder’s parents come to our tailgate and speak to the crowd about their grandson, Hudson. We have a 4 foot banner that we have almost completely covered with well wishes that we will be sending to Nate and his family along with the funds we raised for his charity. We will have it this Sunday so the rest of Pikes Peak Members can sign it. Many thanks to all who so generously gave of their time and sleep to make this the success it was. Hoping I don’t leave out any names and if I do so then I apologize: Bernie and Joyce Kokinos, Susan Griswold, Cheryl Cosky, Donna Balmforth, Barry and Sandy Aneda, Karen Goossen, Mike, Jackie, Scott and Michael McCoy, Nicole Pedigo, Chris Weaver, Linda, Reed and Travis Finch, Cody Neumann, Kerry , Sarah, Patrick, Brian and Michael Stone, Maggie Grimes, Gina Lucas, Bobby Liston, Paul Cosgro, Jared Haney, Ken Lake, Amy McCarthy, Mike and Carolyn Flynn, Jess Gallo, Gail Richards, Mike Todd, Brendan Smith, Bill and Dee Castle, and last but certainly not least, my wonderful husband, Kevin for doing just about everything I asked. I couldn’t do it at all without him by my side. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SHOWED UP AND JOINED US. Although the outcome of the game was not what we expected, remember that it’s hard to win when the NFL allows a team to have 7 extra players playing for them in black and white striped shirts!!! GO PATS!

  • 11/21/15 Greetings Fellow New England Patriots Fans,
Kevin and I missed the game of the year with all of you! But obviously were watching in Mass with friends and family. Gut wrenching till the very end! A true cardiac test to see how strong your ticker actually is.

It’s come to my attention that on occasion people may forget that we are a family-oriented club. I certainly understand that sometimes things can get out of hand and anyone may slip up once in a while, but constant swearing is NOT allowed. We have many kids around and it will not be tolerated. End of that!

Sunday’s Game - NO SUNDAY GAME!

Our next game is Monday night. 6:15 our time, against ‘Moron’ and the Bills. Even though it’s a Monday night, we’ll be expecting a huge crowd. So come early and dressed in all of your glory.

Again, I’m requesting parking spaces for the November 29th game; anyone who has any connection, please contact me. I need to buy FOUR spaces for the tailgate. Please talk to your friends, neighbors, acquaintances, co-workers, etc. Please try to help to make this tailgate great!

For November, we will be raffling off a Throwback Tom Brady Jersey. As usual, tickets will be $1 and this month, all proceeds will be donated to Homefront Cares. The Members-Only prize this month will be a $100 Gift Certificate for the Proshop at Gillette!! That will be drawn on Sunday, December 6th at the end of the 3rd quarter of the Eagles game, as so many of us are going to be up in Denver on the Sunday of our last game.

    Fox and Hound Raffle
And you know…the Fox and Hound will be raffling off 2 tickets to the Broncos/Patriots game from now until the night of Monday, November 23rd. Raffle tickets are $3 each or two for $5. All proceeds will be going to Pikes Peak Pats to pay for the four tickets we’re buying for four wounded soldiers we’re sponsoring for the game. As in years past, the Club works with the Chaplains Office and brings four guys/gals to the game. We pay for their tickets, Tailgate entrance and present them with some Patriots apparel. They do not have to be a Patriots Fan. The Chaplains Office knows better than we do who needs a day out, who can’t go home for the holiday, etc. This is a great, “feel good” community service that we get to do every couple of years. We will help sell those tickets on Sundays when we are there. Tim, the F&H manager, will draw the winning ticket on the night of the Bills game, Monday, November 23rd (between the 3rd and 4thquarter of the game). You do not have to be present to win. You can fill out a ticket with your name and phone number and will be informed in a timely manner that you won.

    Tailgate and “Night Before” Party
Please, please, and yet again, please continue to pay for the Tailgate and the “Night Before” party this Sunday. We are trying very hard not to handle money up at the actual Tailgate or in Denver at all. So, please bring a check this Monday. We hope that the majority of our club will come up to the Saturday night party so that we have a decent crowd for Mr. Kraft… again … not that we are promising anything. But we will also have some surprises that night. Come early, ready to cheer and dressed in all your Patriots finest!

  • 11/14/15 Patriots 37 – Redskins 10. What a great game … You Go Pats!!

May we keep this momentum up for the rest of the season. Bill Belichick said after the game that we left a lot of points on the field. Maybe we did, but I say, a win is a win, is a win!!

    Sunday’s Game
Sunday we play the Giants at 2:25 PM. Let’s show them what we we’re made of … It’ll be a challenge to say the least, but, In Bill and Tom We Trust!!!

    Parking Spaces
Again, I am putting out a request for anyone who has connections for parking spaces for the November 29th game. I need to buy four parking spaces for the tailgate. Please talk to all of your friends, neighbors, acquaintances, work friends, etc. Please try to help!!

For the month of November we will be raffling off a Throwback Tom Brady Jersey. As usual the tickets will be $1 and this month all proceeds will be donated to Homefront Cares. The Members-Only prize this month will be a $100 gift Certificate for the Proshop at Gillette!!!

    Fox and Hound Raffle

As has been the case in years past, the Club works with the Chaplains Office and bring four guys/gals to the game. We pay for their tickets, their Tailgate, and present them with some form of Patriots apparel. They do not have to be a Patriots Fan. The Chaplains Office knows better than we do who needs a day out, who can’t go home for the holiday, etc. This is a great, “feel good” community service that we get to do every couple of years. Tailgate and “Night Before” Party
Please continue to pay for the Tailgate and the “Night Before” party this Sunday. We are going to try very hard not to handle money up there. So, please bring a check this weekend. We hope that the majority of our club will come up to the Saturday night party so that we have a decent crowd for Mr. Kraft… again … not that we are promising anything. But we will also have some surprises that night.

Come early, come ready to cheer, and come dressed in all your Patriots finest!

  • 11/04/15 I need 5 or 6 people to greet returning soldiers from the Middle East tomorrow at Colorado Springs Airport at 5:00 AM It will take about an hour and a half of your time. We will greet them and give them a MacDonalds cheeseburger and a drink. We let them use our cell phones as theirs have probably already died from the 20 hour flight. They then proceed to Fort Carson to meet with their families. This is part of the Homefront Cares program that we work with. It's called Hungry Heroes!! Please email me right away if you can do it. It's the best feeling you'll have!

  • 11/04/15 What a great Thursday night win! And so we go forward with a 7-0 record. There are still 3 other teams the same way. The Bengals who were 10-1-5 last year and the Panthers who were 7-1-8 ??? (How did they get to the playoffs!?!) And of course the Broncos. I actually still can’t believe the Broncos are 7-0 either.

Our next game is this Sunday at 11:00 AM against the Redskins in Foxboro. They are coming in playing at 3-4. This is a game I am actually not even looking forward to, but you know what they say…any given Sunday!!

Our collection for Care and Share has been brought to the Care and Share office and although I don’t know the final count, I do know that we raised $582 from the ticket sales of the Tedi Bruschi Jersey. If you follow us on Facebook, you know that Ken Lake won the jersey and was present when we drew the ticket. Congrats Ken.

The Members Only prize for October, (a New England Patriots toolbox, duct tape, tape measure and a hammer) was won by none other than Chris Weaver who has been doing the music in the south room! Congrats Chris. He will continue to do so but unfortunately can’t this weekend due to a prior commitment. We are willing to take other tech savy people as volunteers.

I am putting out a request for anyone who has connections for parking spaces for the November 29th game. I need to buy 4 parking spaces for the tailgate. Please talk to all of your friends, neighbors, acquaintances, work friends, etc. Please try to help!!

Also, BIG NEWS…the Fox and Hound will be raffling off 2 tickets to the Broncos/Patriots game from now until the night of Monday, November 23rd. The raffle tickets are $3 or 2 for $5. You will fill out a ticket with your name and phone number and will be informed right away that you won.

I would like people to start paying for the Tailgate and the “Night Before” party this Sunday. I am going to try very hard not to be handling too much money up there. So please bring a check this weekend. I hope the majority of our club will come up to the Saturday night party so that we have a decent crowd for Mr. Kraft…not that I am promising anything. But we will also have some surprises that night.

Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest!

  • 10/27/15 Well, was that a little nerve wracking? I don’t like games like that. Oh well, Revis, no gloating this time. And was the craziness of the Cowboys just entertaining? But most of all I loved the Ravens game!!

Thank you Tom for making us 6-0!! The Dolphins are coming out at 3-3 this THURSDAY. (REMEMBER it’s our early game. We will not be playing on Sunday.) A lot of people seem to think that this is going to be a walk in the park. Let’s not forget the saying…”Any given Sunday…..” But actually it should be Thursday! They are coming off of 2 wins under the new manager and people seem to “think” they have a chance.

This will be our last night to collect canned and boxed goods for the local Care and Share here in Colorado Springs. Please come with a donation to put in the gray totes. Anyone who brings in 10 cans, please come see me and you will get an extra halftime raffle ticket. We are also raffling off a Tedi Bruschi authentic football jersey for the month of October. 100% of the proceeds will go to Care and Share. Tickets are $1 and the winning ticket will be drawn on Thursday, October 29th in between the 3rd and 4th quarters. You do not have to be there to win. The winning ticket number will be put on Face book and sent out in the email. You will have until Sunday, the 8th of November to get in touch with me. If no one claims that winning ticket, we will start the process all over again and we will draw another ticket in between the 3rd and 4th quarters during the Redskins game.

The Members Only prize for October will also be pulled this week. It is a New England Patriots toolbox, duct tape, tape measure and a hammer. The ticket will be drawn on Thursday, October 29th.

I am putting out a request for anyone who has connections for parking spaces for the November 29th game. I need to buy 4 parking spaces for the tailgate. Please talk to all of your friends, work friends, etc. Please try to help!!

It’s official, the “Night Before” party is going to be at Katie Mullen’s right off the 16th Street Mall.

Tailgate $35 Assorted Appetizers, Fruit Dip, Vegie Dip, Garden Salad, Dinner Rolls, Chart House Clam Chowder, Steak Tips, Boston Baked Beans, Dessert, Soda and Water

I am still hoping the majority of our club will come up to the Saturday night party so that we have a decent crowd for Mr. Kraft…not that I am promising anything. But we will also have some surprises that night.

Our Hotel is the Embassy Suites Denver – Downtown Convention Center at 1420 Stout Street, Denver, CO

Come early on Thursday, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest! Kevin will be doing our great music in the North Room and our CIO, Chris Weaver has graciously agreed to do music in the South room if needed. Linda Finch has volunteered to work the volume control for the South Room.

  • 10/21/15 A win is a win. I thank God we won because I truly could not have stood it if we had lost. Although I didn’t get the 60 point blowout I wanted but I’ll take a win anytime. I’m just glad that Indy imploded during the second half and committed one of the all time worst calls ever in the history of the NFL. I love it.

Our next game is this Sunday at 11:00 AM against the Jets in Foxboro. They are coming in playing quite well and all fired up at 4-1. This is probably our most important divisional game. I would hate to see a loss with the idiot Revis gloating.

We are continuing to collect canned goods and boxes for Care and Share for the month of October. I would like people to email me if you haven’t signed up for the “Night Before Party” and or our tailgate in November. Because it’s Thanksgiving, I personally don’t think there will be many out of Staters coming so I hope the majority of our club will come up to the Saturday night party so that we have a decent crowd for Mr. Kraft…not that I am promising anything. But we will also have some surprises that night. I will have a sign-up sheet again next Sunday.

The group tickets are in for the Colorado College Hockey game for Saturday night, October 24th when they will be playing Boston College. I am still waiting to hear from Lynn Brown and Brett Ott. Please call me immediately so that we can make arrangements to meet up so that you can get your tickets.

Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest! Kevin will be doing our great music in the North Room and our CIO, Chris Weaver has graciously agreed to do music in the South room. Linda Finch has volunteered to work the volume control for the South Room.

  • 10/16/15 Great game. Glad we could shut up Romo and the gang. That Hardy belongs in jail not on a football field. Loved the score, but we have to really up the ante for this Sunday's game against the Colts. Those scumbag, low class, whiney crybabies. I want to see them demolished.

We are on to Indianapolis. The Colts are coming in at 3-2 and we are, as we all know, 4-0. Still up in the air about whether or not Luck is going to play. The game is at 6:25 PM our time. Come on down.

We are collecting canned goods and boxes for Care and Share for the month of October. Please come with a donation to put in the gray totes. REMINDER: If you have paid your dues, make sure you come up to me to get your ID and/or year sticker. Remember that the waitresses are looking for your landyard in order to give you your 15% discount.

The Members Only prize for October will be on display this week. It is a New England Patriots toolbox, duct tape, tape measure and a hammer.

The group tickets are in for the Colorado College Hockey game for Saturday night, October 24th when they will be playing Boston College. I will give you the tickets and collect money this Sunday. I will be there from 4 pm on. Tickets are $5 for kids up to 17 and $13 for adults. If people are interested, we could all go as a group. Let me know if you are interested and I will see if we can get extras. We have 44 signed up.

Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest! Kevin will be doing our great music in the North Room and our CIO, Chris Weaver has graciously agreed to do music in the South room. We still will need a volunteer to work the volume control for the South Room. I have had people interested but no actual volunteers. PLEASE let me know if you would be willing to do that.

If you are on Facebook, make sure you “Like” our page and encourage all your family and friends to like us too. Let’s try to get to 1000 this fall.

  • 10/07/15 What a game. Loved the score of the game for the Jaguars but I want the score to be more than the 51-17 we had with them, when we play the Colts! Our bye is over and I am sure that the rest of you felt as lost as I did with it coming so early in the season.

We are on to Dallas and I so wish we were all going there for the great tailgate that they are going to have. We meet the Cowboys amidst the ridiculous scumbag Hardy trash talking. He is so unbelievably classless, it is mindnumbing. The Cowboys are coming in 2-2 and we are, as we all know, 3-0. They are without Romo and Bryant. But as Bill says, we never underestimate and always prepare. The game is at 2:25 PM our time. For those that are new to the club this year, 2:30 games are our most awkward, as usually all of our tables already have people sitting at them and so it then becomes a waiting game.

Our club picture for this year, (which will be going on our Facebook page, our web site page and we will be submitting it to the Patriots web site) will be taken on Sunday at 1:30 outside the restaurant. Let’s get as many members as possible to show up! It’s supposed to be 81 degrees and sunny. Make sure you have your Tom Patch on your jersey, shirt, jacket, etc.

REMINDER: If you have paid your dues, make sure you come up to me to get your ID and/or year sticker. Remember that the waitresses are looking for your landyard in order to give you your 15% discount.

We will need a volunteer to work the volume control for the South Room. PLEASE let me know if you would be willing to do that.

If you are on Facebook, make sure you “Like” our page and encourage all your family and friends to like us too. Let’s try to get to 1000 this fall.

  • 10/02/15 Remember we have a bye this week. See you on the 11th, vs Dallas minus Romo!!!

  • 9/22/15 What a game. I honestly only stopped to see the most important parts of the game, I was so busy…but what I did see was just awesome. So glad Tom and the gang were able to shut up not only Rex the moron, but the team and stupid fans as well. I was getting utchy at the end but we definitely pulled it off. Nice huge crowd this week. Again thank you to our firefighter visitors. So glad we could host them again. Hope that they return to vacation next time and not for such a solemn occasion . Thanks also go out to Tim and the Staff at Fox and Hound for so generously sponsoring that wonderful Wings Buffett. And many thanks to Sam Adams for donating a keg of beer to the firefighters.

One piece of housekeeping to do. We had 3 people accidentally leave without paying their tab. I have explained that I am sure in the excitement of the afternoon, people got a little confused and probably left thinking their significant other paid it or plain forgot as I did myself one time! If your name is Shawn, Matt or Steve please contact me and I will go over the tab with you so you can see if that is your tab!! Thanks.

REMINDER: If you have paid your dues make sure you come up to me to get your ID and/or year sticker. Remember that the waitresses are looking for your landyard in order to give you your 15% discount.

Ticket Policy for half-time raffle prizes: If you are a member in good standing, you will receive a blue ticket. Non-members will receive a red ticket. The more expensive prizes will be picked from the blue bucket. The less expensive but still wicked awesome prizes will be picked from the red bucket. You can only get a ticket from our Director of the Census or whatever title he has…Joe Becker. You have to show your ID to get a ticket so DO NOT LEAVE IT AT HOME.

Here are the rules for the Members Only Raffle: Paying adult members only. We will have 4 special raffle prize drawings for members only at the last game of the month. We will have these drawings on September 27th, October 25th, Since we will mostly be up in Denver for the Pats game and because it is also Thanksgiving weekend, we will hold the Member Only Raffle for the month of November on December 6th , and the last one on December 28 th. If we go to the Superbowl again, (which I am not going to jinx us and say we are!!!) we will also have one at the Superbowl. Here is how it will work. After the third quarter we will have a special color ticket that will be for paying members only. We will draw for that prize and the member MUST BE THERE. If we call your number and you didn’t make that game, your ticket will go back into the pile and you will be eligible to win for any of the following months. We will then draw another ticket until we have a member who’s present, win that month's prize. The prize for September is a Oh so very classy and proper!! Once you win for one of these special raffles, you can not win again. So this upcoming Sunday is Members Only Weekend as well as it is going to be our first Whoopie Pie Sunday!!! Make sure that if you have signed up that you have received your special raffle ticket. I WILL NOT REPLACE a lost ticket. We have been encouraging everyone to keep the ticket in your lanyard. But do whatever is best for you. If you have already signed up and haven't received your ID and ticket make sure to get them before the game starts. It is the Green big ticket that you all received when you signed up or renewed.

Ok, Sunday we play the Jaguars at 1!:00 AM our time. They are coming in at 1-1. They lost to the Panthers and beat Miami. The player, Sergio Brown, that Gronk “threw out of the club” last year will be there in Foxboro Sunday. Let’s hope there’s something fun that goes on! I would like people to email me if you think you are going to go to our “Night Before Party” and or our tailgate in November. Because it’s Thanksgiving, I personally don’t think there will be many out of Staters coming so I hope the majority of our club will come up to the Saturday night party so that we have a decent crowd for Mr. Kraft…not that I am promising anything. But we will also have some surprises that night. I will have a sign-up sheet next Sunday also. Also we have the opportunity to get group tickets for a Colorado College Hockey game for Saturday night, October 24th when they will be playing Boston College. Ticket will be $5 for kids up to 17 and $13 for adults. I thought that if people were interested we could all go as a group. Let me know if you are interested and I will also have a sign-up on Sunday, and if we get enough people we have a PPP member who works for the athletic department and can get us the tickets.

If you are on Facebook, make sure you “Like” our page and encourage all your family and friends to like us too. Let’s try to get to 1000 this fall. Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest! And don’t worry, Cody will be back to regale us with tales of watching a game in such a hostile environment. Kevin will be gone on a business trip but our CIO, Chris Weaver has graciously agreed to take over for Kevin, so we will have music.

  • 9/14/15 Please send me any pictures that were taken on Thursday night that you'd like to see on our Facebook page especially the balloons coming down and the confetti! I have none so far.

Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest!

  • 9/13/15 Well, could the night have been any better? Between the Foxboro Banner Night festivities, the excitement of having Tom on board, Gronk having an outstanding game, the huge amounts of decorations, our very own Banner unveiling, the confetti, the “Champagne” toast, the balloons, the cake and then of course the win. To those new members…NO we don’t do this every week. Many thanks to everyone who pitched in and helped to get ready for the night, came early that day and stayed late that night. For those of you that came just before the game, you probably didn’t see ALL the work that went into the preparations for our own special Banner Night. So thanks to all including: (in no particular order)…Cheryl Cosky, Gail and Mark Richards, Joyce and Bernie Kokinos, Kim Maestropietro, Jackie and Mike McCoy, Karen Goosen, The lovely gentleman and his wife and I am so sorry, I can’t remember the names…who stayed and vacuumed for 72 hours to clean up all the mess, the Rateys, my balloon pullers, etc., etc., and if I forgot your name so sorry. And of course let’s not forget the biggest helper, my husband Kevin Stone! And to the new members, no Cody and I are not married.

Our game this week is again at 11:00M AM our time against the Buffalo Bills. This is our first away game this season and our first meet with Rex "I love my wife’s feet” Ryan. He’s hoping to get his Super Bowl win in September. For those that are new, 2:30 games are a little difficult as the room is usually full of people who are there watching the 11:00 AM games. We just have to patiently wait for them to vacate our seats. The annual, "Anne you have to do something about the lack of seating in the room" conversations have already started.

Don’t forget that this is the weekend of the IAFF – Fallen Firefighters Weekend. Hopefully we will have a bunch of guys show up. Make sure you try and say hi.

I am going to bring the prizes for September’s Members Only Raffle to put on display so that you will get psyched to come on Sunday, the 27th!! To all of our Jewish members, Happy New Year.

If you are on Facebook, make sure you “Like” our page and encourage all your family and friends to like us too. Let’s try to get to 1000 this fall. Please send me any pictures that were taken on Thursday night that you'd like to see on our Facebook page. Come early, come ready to cheer and come dressed in all your Patriots finest!

  • 9/05/15 VICTORY, JUSTICE, TRIUMPH, VINDICATION, EXONERATION, SUCCESS, PRIDE!! It doesn't’t get any better. I feel like the weight of the world is off our shoulders. I am so proud of the whole club. We have shown ourselves to be true fans who never lost faith and always believed in Brady. I feel so good, I can only imagine how great the team and especially Tom feels. AND NOW ONTO 2015!!

This will be a long letter with info that most have seen before, but I also have lots of new stuff! So read it to the end. DO NOT MISS THURSDAY NIGHT. I know it’s a work night and a school night but nights like these only come along once in a while. That’s all I will say.

Welcome to all our new members. We had over 40 people on Thursday at Cleats East for our last pre-season game against the Giants. We love the enthusiasm. I will have the new ID cards for everyone who signed up. So far we have registered 81 people for our club. I will have the Members Only Tickets for everyone on Thursday. And since I don’t give out new ID cards every year, we have a small sticker that goes on your ID that shows you are a member in good standing. If you have paid your dues make sure you come up to me to get your sticker. Remember that the waitresses are looking for your lanyard in order to give you your 15% discount. Remember to welcome our new members.

If we go to the Super bowl again, (which I am not going to jinx us and say we are!!!) we will also have one at the Super Bowl. Here is how it will work. After the third quarter we will have a special color ticket that will be for paying members only. We will draw for that prize and the member MUST BE THERE. If we call your number and you didn't’t make that game, your ticket will go back into the pile and you will be eligible to win for any of the following months. We will then draw another ticket until we have a member who’s present, win that month's prize. The prize for September is wicked cool auto ensemble!!! Once you win for one of these special raffles, you can not win again.

Make sure that if you have signed up that you have received your special raffle ticket. I will have the tickets on Thursday night. I WILL NOT REPLACE a lost ticket. We have been encouraging everyone to keep the ticket in your lanyard. But do whatever is best for you. If you have already signed up and haven't received your ID and ticket make sure to get them before the game starts.

REMINDER: America’s Game: The Super Bowl Champions-2014 New England Patriots is on Tuesday, September 8th at 8 PM MST on the NFL Network.

REMINDER: Do Your Job: Bill Belichick and the 2014 Patriots is on Wednesday, September 9th at 6 PM MST on the NFL Network. Immediately after there will be a half hour show Do Your Job: Overtime that shows bonus content that wasn’t on the original show. If interested they are replaying the entire Super Bowl at 10 PM on the 9th If you miss either one there are multiple other times they are repeated.

Don't forget that our first game is THIS THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH. We take on the Steelers and the game starts at 6:30 PM our time. We last played them in 2013 and beat them 55-31! According to the TV stations they will start pre game coverage at 5:30. Come dressed in all of your glory. If you have a Tom Brady Jersey, wear it. All paying members will receive a Tom patch as your little gift this year from the club. We are asking everyone to wear it on your right shoulder. If you got a DO YOUR JOB towel at the Super Bowl party, bring it. We have about 50 left over and they will be for sale. ($5) Fox and Hound has a special Dos Equis $3.50 Small 14 oz. beer for Thursday night. We will probably also have another beer special.

On the weekend of September 19th and 20th, the IAFF, the International Association of Fallen Firefighters holds a ceremony here in Colorado Springs. It honors all firefighters who have lost their lives in the call of duty in the past year. Over the years many firefighters from most of the New England States have heard that we are a Pats bar and come by to join us for the game. As a club we are going to be sponsoring any firefighter who comes in for this weekend by buying them a beer. I honestly don't know if I will have 10 people show up or 50 show up over our usual 100 members that show up weekly. I have been in touch with Sam Adams and they are wonderfully and generously donating a full keg for firefighters only. How unbelievably generous of them.

We will be taking a group picture on Sunday, October 11th, at 9:30 in front of the Fox and Hound, sporting our patches and using that photo to send it to the Patriots.com web site! Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team to the second victory of the year!. GO PATS!

DO NOT MISS THURSDAY NIGHT. WE HAVE A COUPLE OF SMALL SURPRISES!! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS!

  • 8/31/15 10 days to go before the actual season starts. Strongly suggesting we all pray, go to our churches and synagogues, say rosaries, visit Holy places, etc., etc. We should hear by Tuesday or Wednesday as most reports say and by Friday at the latest which is what the judge promised. How the greatest player to ever don a helmet can be put through this nonsense just defies all logic. Truly, I think it can only come out one possible way. \ Again I reiterate, PIKES PEAK PATS are 100% behind Brady. Make sure you are wearing your Tom patch!! Our last pre-season game is this Thursday night at 5:30 PM mountain time.

We will be meeting at Cleats Bar and Grill East The address is: 6120 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80922 (719) 344-9301 Barnes is off Powers, very near the Fox and Hound. Come while we watch the New York Giants try to take us on in Foxboro. For those that don't know, the Fox and Hound does not get the pre-season games so we have go to elsewhere. I can start taking dues for this year. I strongly suggest that even if you don’t stay, come to Cleats and pay your dues and avoid the ridiculously long lines that we have for the first 4 games of the year.

See you Thursday night. Be there to sign up!

  • 8/24/15 17 days to go before the actual season starts. Remember, don't worry about pre-season games. They don't count. Again I reiterate, PIKES PEAK PATS are 100% behind Brady. Remember that WE ARE SUPERBOWL CHAMPS and no one can take that away.

Due to a number of factors, we will be meeting for the last 2 pre-season games at Cleats Bar and Grill East The address is: 6120 Barnes Rd, Colorado Springs, CO 80922 (719) 344-9301 Barnes is off Powers, very near the Fox and Hound. Our next game is this Friday night at 5:30 PM mountain time. Come while we watch the Carolina Panthers on their home turf, take us on. For those that don't know, the Fox and Hound does not get the pre-season games so we have go to elsewhere. It is off I can start taking dues for this year. I strongly suggest that even if you don’t stay, come to Cleats and pay your dues and avoid the ridiculously long lines that we have for the first 4 games of the year.

See you Friday night. Be there to sign up!

  • 8/21/15 Greetings Fellow New England Patriots Fans, Less than 4 weeks to go. Remember, don't worry about pre-season games. They don't count. Needless to say we are all 100% behind Brady. Remember that WE ARE SUPERBOWL CHAMPS and no one can take that away. Next meeting is this Saturday night at 5:30 PM mountain time. We will meet at the Overtime Bar as we always have for preseason, in our second pre-season game against the Saints. The Fox and Hound does not get the pre-season games so we go to the Overtime. The address is 2809 Dublin Boulevard. It is in a strip mall on the corner of Dublin and North Union, across the street from the Walgreens drugstore. I can start taking dues for this year. I strongly suggest that even if you don’t stay, come to the Overtime and pay your dues and avoid the ridiculously long lines that we have for the first 4 games of the year.

For those of you who don’t remember…the Pats are coming out on Sunday, November 29th. I know it is the end of Thanksgiving weekend, but I think you’re all crazy if you don’t try to go. This will probably be the last time Brady and Manning meet. THIS IS HISTORY!! At a minimum, come up for the “Night Before Party” and stay the night and go to the tailgate. It is a complete and utter wicked blast!!! Well, we have finalized our hotel details. Of course you can stay wherever you would like, but I have put aside 50 rooms at the Embassy Suites Downtown Denver. It is within walking distance to the 16th St. Mall. It is a fabulous hotel with great amenities. Rates are $119/night for either a king or 2 queens, (and don't forget the foldout couch), fully cooked breakfast and evening reception (beer, wine and soda), discounted parking from $36 a night to $21.

See you Thursday night. Be there or be square. (Pitiful!)

  • 4/27/15 I have been away and unable to access my official email list. Unfortunately, I received this email from my contact up at Mile High Stadium. He has always been so generous with helping us to get tickets. Here is the context of his email:

Hi Anne. Good to hear from you. Unlike back in 2009 and 2011 when we didn't have Manning, these days we are completely sold out of all tickets in the stadium so we don't sell group tickets and therefore are not able to help with a big group this time around. I recommend ticketexchange which will be available via denverbroncos.com in July/Aug. Hope all is well with you.

So unfortunately, I guess everyone is on they own. People are already emailing me that they are buying tickets at various sites. This will probably be the last meeting of Brady and Manning. I hope everyone can get their tickets. We will still of course be doing the "Night Before Party" and the tailgate Bummer. I am as disappointed as any of you.

  • 4/21/15 Well, finally the schedule is out! Put the date Sunday, November 29, 2015 on your calendar because this weekend is going to be the ultimate, wicked awesome Party!

I have a connection at the Denver Broncos, and we will be buying some group tickets from them. They will not be selling us the cheap $100 tickets. The tickets will probably be about $200ish. Maybe a little less and maybe a little more. I need to get a tentative headcount now for anyone interested in coming to the game with all of us as a group. Of course, many of you know people who have seasons tickets and will get your tickets from them. If you want to buy on your own, that's perfectly fine. Many people have asked if you can take part in all of our activities if you don't buy tickets with us and of course the answer is YES! We will be announcing in the next couple of months a hotel that we will get a rate group rate for probably Saturday and Sunday night. We will be having a gigantic "Night Before" Party somewhere in downtown Denver on Saturday. This will be followed the next day by a wicked awesome tailgate at Mile High Stadium. Tickets will not go on sale until sometime in July. Once I get a tentative headcount I will call and give the number to my connection. I expect to have the full amount paid by anyone going in on the group tickets by the date I get the tickets. Obviously we don't know the dates for tickets as yet. Please email me your name and the number of tickets you want. Tickets will go of course first to club members. We will not sell tickets to Broncos fans unless they are significant others. GO PATS!

    And the countdown begins........

  • 2/03/15 Well, it's been 2 days and I barely feel recovered, I am still tired and my voice is just starting to come back. What a GREAT feeling.

If you were not at the Fox and Hound, you missed the absolute best time. What a wicked blast. We practically filled up the whole bar. The atmosphere, the singing, the win, the food, the ice cream, the cheering, the horrific ups and downs, the roller-coaster of emotions, the high-fiving, the hugging, the crying, the jumping up and down, the screaming, the woo-wooing. IT WAS JUST UNBELIEVABLE.

Many thanks to all whom I contacted who showed up to decorate and get the rooms ready. To the sign hanger-uppers, the balloon blower uppers, the Hershey Kisses sticker On-ers, the printers, the go to the store-ers, the M&Ms fill up the cuppers, ice cream scoopers, unload the car helpers, extra great desserts and donut bringer in-ers, etc., etc. Thank you, thank you, thank you. To everyone in the club, thank you so much for the beautiful flowers and Texas Roadhouse (my absolute favorite restaurant) gift certificates. Thank you to Cheryl Cosky and Sandy Aneda for arranging it all. To our Head Cheerleader, Cody, thank you for wearing all of the silly things I buy you! To my husband, Kevin who puts up with all of the time that I spend on the club and having 1/2 the garage filled up with PPP stuff, thank you for playing the best celebratory music EVAH!

This club isn't just about 2 or 3 people, it's the whole atmosphere, the way people are friendly to newcomers, pass out our business cards to strangers, how we collectively give so much back to the community, are so generous with our charities. Each and every one of you make me feel so proud. When ever I have family visit, they are always so jealous and happy for me that I have this fantastic home away from home to go to.

To the best team in the NFL, run by the best franchise in the NFL, thank you so much for winning a Super Bowl for us!! GO PATS!

Don't forget...start saving your money now to buy tickets to the game this fall...the schedule will be out at the end of April. ANother wicked awesome party!!

  • 1/31/15 TOMORROW!!!!!

The Fox and Hound have set up a wireless microphone that Cody will be using that will be heard in all 3 rooms!!! Wooooo woooooo!

Just a quick bunch of reminders. Think about whether or not you want to take a cab to the Bar. We don't want anyone making a bad decision. Let's all be safe.

If you have any banners or flags, please bring them with your name on them so we can add them to the walls.

Let's be fair with the number of seats we are saving and let's all have a wicked awesome time. Three of the local news stations have said they were coming. Now, this means nothing as they can well decide that there are more newsworthy stories, although I have no idea what could possibly be bigger than us in the Super Bowl!! So if you are chosen to be interviewed, know that one of the questions will be about "Deflategate". Let them all know how loyal we are and that we got to the Super Bowl without having to cheat!

GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS!

  • 1/30/15 GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS!

One last email! Two days to go. If you haven't visited our Facebook Page yet, do so and like us!

DO YOUR JOB and wear your Patriots Regalia! Send me a picture and I'll make sure it gets on the Facebook.

I've been asked if people can come early and leave coats on seats and then come back later. The answer is no. ANY saving of seats must be done in person. We are just trying to make this as fair as posssible.

Remember TO BRING your beads that we gave out at the AFC Championship. Wear them.

A repeat of our rules for Superbowl:

    1. 1. During playoffs, we have a rule that we ask members not to bring in many non-members to the North Room. There will be plenty of room in the main room and the South Room.
THERE WILL BE NO NON-MEMBERS IN THE NORTH ROOM. THE ONLY EXCEPTIONS WILL GO THROUGH ME. IF YOU INSIST THAT YOU NEED YOUR FRIENDS THERE, THEN BOTH YOUR FRIENDS AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SIT IN ANOTHER ROOM.
I have had many people comment that if they pay the dues, they would like to be able to sit in the room. We obviously can't accommodate everyone, so it is first come, first served.
    2. Once the game begins, no more saving seats!!
    3. All members who come with their lanyard with an updated sticker that shows you are a current member will receive an extra ticket for the raffles. BRING YOUR LANYARD!! This way we do not have to keep pulling members only tickets. We will have a bucket for Members Only Raffle tickets. It will be a different color than the one everyone receives. WE WILL DRAW HALF THE PRIZES FROM MEMBERS ONLY TICKETS.
    4. FOX AND HOUND IS NOT ACCEPTING ANY RESERVATIONS FOR THE GAME. They have been inundated with calls. It is strictly first come, first served. So I suggest that if you want a seat with friends in the main room, you get There early.
    5. We will be doing 5 football squares: one $10, one $5, one $2 and two $1
    6. And last but not least, this is a picture of the Jersey we are now raffling off. It is an authentic autographed Deion Branch MVP Jersey from Superbowl 39! I have taken this picture to show you. I didn't want to touch it very much so I have not hung it up on a hanger to photograph it. Tickets are $3, 2/$5. The ticket will be drawn by Lieutenant David Edmondson o f the Colorado Springs Police Department at the end of the third quarter. You do not have to be present to win. 100% of the money from the sale of the raffle tickets will be given to the Memorial Fund. We are very excited to be adding this wonderful opportunity to our repertoire of Community Service Projects.

Here's the Super bowl Buffet Menu again:
We will have vegie dip, fruit dip, cheese and crackers, New England Clam Chowder, dinner rolls, butter, Caesar salad, garden salad, Boston baked beans, Hilltop steak tips, (We have been talking to Colorado Beef, [who owned Hilltop Steakhouse], all week and they have agreed to let us buy their prime steak tips!) an Ice Cream Sundae Bar, and Whoopie Pies. Clam Chowder will be served one half hour before the game. The rest of the food will come out right after the beginning of the first quarter.

    PPP members: $20 & kids 2 to 10-$12. Non-members $25 & $15.

This is an excellent meal and we have bought plenty of beef!!!

We will be serving the food in the South Room this time. I have bought really wicked awesome raffle prizes for the game!!

THIS IS OUR YEAR! COME ON DOWN AND HAVE A WICKED AWESOME TIME WITH US!GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS! GO PATS!

  • 1/26/15 6 DAYS TO GO!!!! I am chomping at the bit. Calling all, banners, flags and pennants that any members may have. We would love to hang it up somewhere in the bar. Just put your name on it on a piece of tape or something. I want it to look like someone threw up Patriots all over our bar.

Here is what we are going to do for a buffet: We will have vegie dip, fruit dip, cheese and crackers, New England Clam Chowder, dinner rolls, butter, Caesar salad, garden salad, Boston baked beans, Hilltop steak tips, (We have been talking to Colorado Beef, [who owned Hilltop Steakhouse], all week and they have agreed to let us buy their prime steak tips!) an Ice Cream Sundae Bar, and Whoopie Pies. I would like a headcount as soon as possible, by at least Wednesday please. Clam Chowder will be served one half hour before the game. The rest of the food will come out right after the beginning of the first quarter. Keep in mind that if you respond that you are taking the buffet, you are responsible for paying for it. I give the number to the Fox and Hound and they order food accordingly.

    PPP members: $20 & kids 2 to 10-$12. Non-members $25 & $15.

This is an excellent meal and we have bought plenty of beef!!!

We will be serving the food in the South Room this time. I have bought really wicked awesome raffle prizes for the game!!

We are all so wicked proud of the whole team. Make sure you are doing your job and are wearing your Patriots garb to work, etc. I am wearing my jersey tomorrow to the Police Station and will take a picture to post on our Facebook page. Send me a picture of you in all of your Patriots glory THIS WEEK and it will go onto our Facebook!!

  • 1/23/15 SEE YOU SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 1ST FOR SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!!!!!

And by the way, I forgot to thank Karen Goosen for her wonderful Patriots players cookies. I luckily got the Gronkowski butt!! And thanks to Mikayla Boynton for her beautiful footballs on the football field cupcakes! Great job to both of you ladies! And Mikayla, very clever of you to put flat footballs on the cupcakes...are you psychic?

  • 1/22/15 Well, much ado about nothing. My firm stance is that I believe Bill and I believe in Bill. I believe Tom and I believe in Tom. I am backing the Kraft family and the entire New England Patriots organization. This is utter nonsense and yet again another example of how inept the NFL is and how haters love to hate. I could've personally investigated this whole thing in come up with an answer. It is absolutely ridiculous that the media have turned this into a complete debacle. Shame on them.

    Well on to the...Super Bowl.

February 1, 4:30 PM, Fox and Hound, all rooms, dressed in all your glory....be there.

Here is what we are going to do for a buffet: We will have New England Clam Chowder, dinner rolls, butter, Caesar salad, garden salad, Boston baked beans, Hilltop steak tips, (We have been talking to Colorado Beef, [who owned Hilltop Steakhouse], all week and they have agreed to let us buy their prime steak tips!) an Ice Cream Sundae Bar, and Whoopie Pies. We need LOUD people at the game. Come on down. GO PATS! BEAT THE SEAHAWKS! BYE BYE BIRDIES!!

  • 1/14/15 Wow, I have been out straight all week. Still hoping to see if my voice comes back!

A couple of quick announcements: Tim Harrington, the Manager of Fox and Hound by way of thanking us for our very loyal patronage...is offering to Pikes Peak Pats members (which means that you MUST have your Pikes Peak Pats Landyard on!) a special for the AFC game. A $3.00 Small Sam Adams Boston Lager for members only. It's $2.50 off the original price! Thank you Tim!!

Let's talk about the Bruins game. I will be giving the tickets out on Sunday. If you have not paid yet, please do so immediately!! $50 for the ticket and a special prize and if you are going on the bus, it's $60 and includes the special prize and some snacks and beverages on the bus. It is a Grayline bus which has a bathroom on it. We will be meeting at the Park and Ride at Exit 149 Woodmen Road. The bus will be there at 4:00. We can obviously park there for the evening. The bus is dropping us off in the parking lot of the Brooklyn's at the Pepsi Center 901 Auraria Parkway, Denver, CO 80204 (303) 607-0004. I would suggest that you call for a reservation if you want to eat there before the game. We should arrive somewhere around 6 at the latest. We will leave directly from the Pepsi Center after the game. The reason this Great Hockey outing is at such a fabulous price is that 2 of our Members, Ryan Shea and Monica Sharp who are realtors for the Platinum Group have very kindly sponsored us for HALF the price of the bus. Plus it was Ryan's connections that got us the great deal for the tickets!! How unbelievably, phenomenally generous!! Below you may click on their logo to access their website! Make sure that you say thanks!

I have received numerous emails form people wondering what time to come in and get a seat. I have no answer. And remember that we are losing seats in the North Room due to the buffet! We can't all fit in there. We will be having our speaker system going on in the South Room.

Keep the sign up going for the best buffet deal going!

  • 1/13/15 Huge mistake. So sorry, but I actually had a couple of members comment to me that the price of the buffet was not the same as last year. The actual cost is $20 for members and $25 for non members. I am so sorry for the error but we can't actually do it. This is still the deal of the year. I had 6 people respond as yes, so please email me again. Again, I apologize!!

    January 18th PLAYOFF MADNESS CONTINUES!!!
    AFC Championship Buffet:
PPP members: $20 & kids 2 to 10-$10. Non-members $25 &s $15. This price covers the cost of the buffet, tip and tax, and dessert etc.

The buffet will consist of: One table with Salsa and chips, cheese and crackers, fruit trays, vegie trays with dip, a salad bar with both Caesar Salad and House Salad. Then the POOL TABLE TO THE LEFT will have Beer Battered Chicken Tenders, Grand Champion wings in 4 different flavors, Spicy Chicken Billiard Sticks, Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza, and Italian Ziti. There will be a special Dessert. Drinks are on your own. This is the deal of the year...so far!!

I will need a headcount by Thursday, January 15th. When you email please let me know how many adults and how many kids.

You DO NOT have to do the buffet. You can order off the menu if you want, we just thought that this would be easier for most of us. It has always been a big success before. It has worked out fabulous; the food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. When you get to Fox and Hound the day of the game we will have a sign-in table where you will pay your fee and get a bracelet that will allow you to go to the buffet table.

This fabulous discounted deal is given to us on the part of Fox and Hound as a big thank you for being a part of their family for the entire football season. So remember to tip the wait staff well!

KEEP IN MIND THERE WILL BE NO CHAIRS AROUND THE POOL TABLE TO THE LEFT! LESS SEATS IN THE NORTH ROOM.

GO PATS!! GO PATS!! GO PATS!! GO PATS!! GO PATS!!

  • 1/12/15 HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!! WOW! Who knew our cheering would actually cause seismic movement! I swear the Fox and Hound moved an inch or so. What a game. I so LOVE to beat those street thugs. And as Bill says...On to Indianapolis!

I am actually a little torn about not playing Peyton again, but am glad we'll be seeing the Colts.

Welcome to the new 21 members we signed up Saturday. I actually loved having the game on a Saturday. I was able to rest up on Sunday. So our next game, the AFC Championship is this upcoming Sunday, January 18, 2014. It's at 4:30 PM Mountain Time. Please come dressed in ALL of your Patriots Glory as we so far have 2 local news channels wanting to come to do a story. I sent out an email earlier about Fox 21 news doing a spot, but they cut our portion. I just got an email from the news reporter and she said the full segment will be on at 9PM. Let's hope!!

Ok....the playoff game. Here's a reiteration of the rules:

    1. During playoffs, we have a rule that we ask members not to bring in many non-members to the North Room. There will be plenty of room in the main room and the South Room. I have had many people comment that if they pay the dues, they would like to be able to sit in the room. We obviously can't accommodate everyone, so it is first come, first served.
And I have gotten some great new raffle prizes for the game.

We will have both the North Room (our regular room) and the main room. The main Room is on a first come, first served basis so we need to get there in droves EARLY. F&H will decorate with red, white and blue balloons and crepe paper. We will use all of our banners etc. If you would like to add one of your own banners, please feel free to do so!

    January 18th PLAYOFF MADNESS CONTINUES!!!
    AFC Championship Buffet:
PPP members: $15 & kids 2 to 10-$7.50. Non-members $20 & $10.

GO PATS!! GO PATS!! GO PATS!! GO PATS!! GO PATS!!

  • 1/12/15 Quick note. We got interviewed for Fox 21 News and there will be a 30 second segment on the club at 6:30 PM and 9:00 PM. Got the call at 3:30 and went over in that horrendous fog. Just got home!! Watch it and look for my email tonight!!

  • 1/09/15 Okay...very last minute, I know. I have been ill and not been on top of my game. So I don't have something special planned for this playoff game which is very unusual for us not to be more organized. I couldn't get a great cake, we just did the ice cream Sundae Bar, so here's my idea. I would like to invite anyone who would like to, to make a homemade dessert for our First Annual Dessert Buffet. I personally am making a Strawberry Shortcake Trifle. (Now there are no prizes and this is not a contest, but I would probably win if there was!) I think that this will be wicked awesome. We will supply bowls, plates, napkins and silverware and little tent cards that you can write on that will say "Anne Stone's Wicked Awesome Strawberry Shortcake Trifle." Please email me back if you are interested in contributing. Ooooooooooh I am getting so excited!!!

  • 1/07/15 This Saturday, 2:30 PM, Fox and Hound, all rooms, dressed in all your glory....be there. The AFC Divisional Rounds begin! It's us against the idiot birds from Baltimore. Listening to Suggs has been sickening. We will show them on Saturday! Come early for seats.

    A few announcements:

    1. During playoffs, we have a rule that we ask members not to bring in many non-members to the North Room. Now we all understand that there are houses that are divided and we certainly don't want to split married couples...LOL. We are talking about people that come with 3 or 4 nonmembers. WE WILL DRAW HALF THE PRIZES FROM MEMBERS ONLY TICKETS.
    4. I have received many inquiries about the availability of the broadcast on Saturday due to the crazy contract problems with Direct TV. DO NOT WORRY. We will DEFINITELY have the game. The Fox and Hound has both Direct TV and DISH Network. So we are safe!!
    5. We are very excited to be adding this wonderful opportunity to our repertoire of Community Service Projects.

We need LOUD people at the game. Come on down. GO PATS!BEAT THE BIRDS!

  • 12/28/14 Well, Bill's goal for the day was not to have any new injuries and to start resting and recuperating all of his players. Goal accomplished! This game against the Bills was basically treated as if it were a pre-season game. NEVER DOUBT BILL'S WISDOM.

Great turnout as usual. The Ice Cream Sundae Bar was a huge hit. We got many compliments on that. Maybe we'll do that again.

Do not forget that we have a bye next weekend. Our next game has been announced by the NFL:

    • Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 - 2:35pm MT, NBC
    • Winner of lowest seed of the Wild Card games vs. (1) New England Patriots
    • Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA

Will drop another line next week.

Happy New Year and be safe!

  • 12/24/14 Well, first of all I apologize for not getting an email out last week. Family matters took precedence and I just got too busy!!

So Happy Belated Chanukah to all of our many Jewish members as well as to the Kraft Family. Last night was the last of the 8 Holy Nights. We, at Pikes Peak Pats hope your days were fun and blessed. And a Merry Christmas to our members who celebrate Christmas. Regardless of your beliefs, I hope that everyone has a safe and fun-filled family holiday. As usual, we ask that you all remember all of our many members who are active military and are serving all around the world. Being away from family at anytime is hard but it is especially difficult during the holidays. We thank you all for your service and we thank your families for also serving.

What a great game killing the Jets, although I use that term loosely. It was so soothing to be able to shut the buffoon up!! Beating them is like a mini Superbowl for me.

If you are not on Facebook following the Pikes Peak Pats page, then you are missing some great pictures.

A huge thank you to the Cincinnati Bengals for making our Patriots the Number ONE Seed in the AFC. So for those that haven't been following things closely, we are now the proud owners of the first asterisk:

    • *- New England Patriots
    • x - Clinched playoff
    • y - Clinched Wild Card
    • z - Clinched Division
    • * - Clinched Division and Homefield Advantage

This is how the teams are listed on the NFL Standings chart. We presently have the best record in the NFL!!

So there will be no AFC Championship in Denver this year! As they are all saying "the road to the Superbowl is going through Foxboro!!"

As far as last Sunday goes: It was Whoopie Pie Sunday! We raised $501 for Toys for Tots with the sale of $1 raffle tickets for the Vince Wilfork Jersey. It was won by Chris Cuddy who was there in the room!! Our M&M's and Duffle bag was won by Patrick McKenney who guessed 1800 M&M's, the actual number was 1823! The Car mats and container of Hershey Kisses was won by Drew Santagate who guessed 275 when there was actually 279!!

Our last game of the season is next Sunday at 11:00 AM. The time did not change. We wlil have our Members Only drawing at the end of third quarter. This game against the Bills means virtually nothing as far as the standings go but you know that Bill and the rest of the gang will treat this as any other game. But I won't be surprised to maybe see Garoppolo come out for a bit.

To celebrate the end of a fabulous year, we will be having an Ice Cream Sunday Bar, complete with Brigham's Hot Fudge Sauce! This is for members until it runs out!! Merry Christmas everyone and hope to see all of you on Sunday!

I hope Santa is good to you all...he was certainly good to Patriots Nation!! GO PATS! SEE YOU SUNDAY!!

  • 12/12/14 Just a quick reminder!! Please bring in a new unwrapped toy for our Toys for Tots collection. We will be using them for our annual Club picture which will go onto our Facebook and Website.

If you have signed up for the Bruins game in January, please bring in a check for $50 per ticket made out to Pikes Peak Pats. We will be getting a bus and that will be an extra $10 per person. More details at the game!!

  • 12/09/14 What a game! Holy Mother of God, that was a little nerve-racking til the end. If you haven't already, go on to the Patriots website and read all of the articles about HUGE Patriots Fan presence in San Diego for the game. It was fantastic.

Three more to go. The last three games are all divisional games and are all at 11:00 AM. Our next game is a home game against the Miami Dolphins who are presently 7 and 6 but let's not forget that they beat us in our opening game 20-33 down in Miami. They will come ready to play.

Our last community service event of the year will be collecting Toys for Tots every Sunday. (Please try and bring your contribution next Sunday as we will need it for our club picture! ) This is a great opportunity to have the kids take part in picking out toys for kids who really have needs and it also helps Santa stock up his supply. We are asking for an unwrapped, new toy. There will be boxes in our room and in the front hall as you come in. Our raffle for the month of December with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Toys For Tots, will be a Vince Wilfork Jersey. The usual price of a dollar per ticket will be used. This drawing will be on the 21st.

Our "Members Only" prize for the month of December is a beautiful Tom Brady Hoodie. That will be drawn on December 28th.

***We will take a huge fan club photo outside the side of the Fox and Hound building on Sunday, December 13. We will all hold up a toy for the picture and this will go on both our Facebook and our website.

We have already started our Annual “Guess the Number of M & M’s” and “Guess the Number of Hershey Kisses”. Don't forget to take your guesses. The winning prizes are a Patriots Rolling Duffle Bag and set of Patriots Car Mats. Members only may take guesses. The guess is free and the winner also takes the container of candy home with them. The closest without going over will win. We will announce the winners on Sunday, December 21st.

We have a special little holiday gift for all of our members. Make sure you come and see me for it!!
COME ON DOWN and be loud!!

  • 11/30/14 Greetings Fellow New England Patriots Fans,
Well that was not a good loss. But I think we didn't play our best. I do think that is going to be the last game of the seasonI have Green Bay Packer fans that act so smug. Another big game coming up next Sunday, in San Diego. Let's remember that the game is at 6:30 Mountain Time. And now onto business:

    1. We passed in all of the canned goods and the check for Care and Share. We raised to total of $373 by raffling off the Brady Jersey. I forgot to put that in last week of October's letter I just realized. We also contributed 175 pounds of canned goods. Great job everyone.
    2. Meanwhile back at the farm, we sold tickets for the Decade of Dominance framed picture and raised $1403 for the Homefront Cares Organization. Brian Louf, who is on the executive board was nice enough to come down and join us for the game and he picked out the winning ticket. The winner was Margaret Connolly ,from Dedham Massachusetts. I will be sending that picture out to her soon!
    3. And so we begin our last community service event of the year. We will be collecting Toys for Tots every Sunday. This is a great opportunity to have the kids take part in picking out toys for kids who really have needs and it also helps Santa stock up his supply.
This drawing will be on the 21st, which, by the way, is Whoopie Pie Sunday!
    4. We will take a huge fan club photo outside the side of the Fox and hound building on Sunday, December 13. We will all hold up a toy for the picture and this will go on both our Facebook and our website.
    5. We will also be starting our Annual “Guess the Number of M & M’s” and “Guess the Number of Hershey Kisses”. Don't forget to take your guesses The winning prizes are a Patriots Rolling Duffle Bag and set of Patriots Car Mats. Members only may take guesses. The guess is free and the winner also takes the container of candy home with them. The closest without going over will win. We will announce the winners on Sunday, December 21st.
    6. Let's remember Pearl Harbor and give a silent thanks to all who have served and are serving now, especially to those that made the supreme sacrifice and the ones they left behind.
    7. We will also have a special little holiday gift for all of our members.
COME ON DOWN and be loud!!

  • 11/25/14 Another fabulous win! Tom Brady is so hot right now. We are so fortunate to have the greatest football team in the NFL.

Before we talk business I want to share with you a thank you from Joyce Kokinos. Most of you paid your registration dues to Joyce, the beautiful, gray-haired lady who sit next sits next to me at every meeting. She had her total knee replacement done two weeks ago and we sent her the following flowers from the club.

    1. Our next game is Sunday,November 30th at 2:30 PM our time. This is going to be a tough one against the Green Bay Packers. They have the home field advantage and have won 7 out of their last 8 games. They are coming in at 8 and 3 compared to our 9 and 2. The Patriots are going to need lots of loud cheering from us all.
    2. Our Members Only raffle prize will be drawn that day between the 3rd and 4th quarter. I will repeat for the last time that it is a $100 gift certificate for the New England Patriots Proshop. Just in time for Christmas!
    3. Our community service project for the month of November is to raise money for Homefront Cares, a local military charity here in Colorado Springs. The raffle for the Decade of Dominance Picture will also be after the end of the 3rd quarter.
This is the most wicked awesome gorgeous striking picture I have ever seen. The 7 Championships that New England has celebrated with a display of the 7 Sports Illustrated covers.
Brian Louf who is on the Executive Board of Homefront Cares, will be our guest and he will pick the winning ticket. We will present him with a check from the club to Homefront Cares. So far we have raised $592. This organization helps families of the deployed during emergency crises. All the money stays here and benefits all of our local military bases. 100% of the profits will be donated. Tickets are $3 for one and two for $5. Any and all Boston sports fans should buy some raffle tickets. This is a great worthy cause. And actually I would kill to own this!
    4. Be safe on this wonderful holiday and let us all remember that we have soooo much to be thankful for. First on that list, should be our most profound thanks to all of our Servicemen and Women who are serving all around the world, especially those serving in a war zone. Happy Thanksgiving to them and their families who serve here at home.

  • 11/21/14 Before I begin this weeks letter, I have to correct a mistake in the last week's letter. I totally, completely forgot to mention how fabulous our tailgate was. I need to thank my cousin Joey Gilmore and his son, Joey and his daughter, Elyse. I need to think Peter Malacaria area, his wife Marianne, and his son Tim, as well as my cousin Patrick Hussey and Cathy, his wife. They did all the work for this fabulous tailgate. It would not have been possible without them. There was so much food it was unbelievable. We were able to have a cookout before the game as well as after. There didn't miss a single trick. they got everything correct. They had such a good time they have all decided they will come out here to Colorado the next time the Patriots come out to play.

We are coming into a really difficult stretch. We are presently 8-2 and are playing the Detroit Lions on Sunday morning at 11 AM our time. They are coming in at 7-3, having just lost to Arizona this past weekend. Make sure you come out in all your Patriots glory dressed to the hilt because we have really got to be loud this weekend. Make sure you get there early if you want a seat in the north room. But we will bringing be bringing our microphone set up for the south room so if you sit and there, we just need a volunteer to be in charge of the volume control and then you can hear everything from the other room!! So if someone wants to email me to let me know that they want to do that, I would be grateful.

I will have all of the new IDs ready to go on Sunday morning. And it is also Whoopie Pie Sunday! We will still be selling tickets for our unbelievable Decade of Dominance picture this weekend. They one for $3 and 2 for $5 dollars. We will be selling them up until the end of the third quarter of the Green Bay Packers game on November 30. Between the third and fourth quarter we will pick the winning ticket. Brian Louf who is on the Executive bBard of Homefront Cares, will be our guest and he will pick the winning ticket. We will present him with a check from the club to Homefront Cares. So far we have raised $533.

For those that have already left for the Thanksgiving Holiday, be safe.

  • 11/14/14 Sorry for the lapse in time here! Well, what a GREAT game! The Broncos simply imploded!! Simply unbelievably awesome. I love when someone else has a Kansas City game.

I heard about what a great job both Rob Wray and Terri D'Allessio did while Cody and I were away. Many thanks to them and all who chipped in to run the ship. This is why I constantly brag about our group!! For those that didn't see my picture...I went shopping for some raffle prizes at Gillette on Thursday and had called Stacey James to touch base with him and lo and behold he said come with me, which I naturally and blindly did, and da naaaaaah we were at Mr. Kraft's office!!

Unbeleivably cool and wicked awesome. His office is positively gorgeous. I'll give more details on Sunday.

    And now for some announcements

    1. REMEMBER: our next game is this Sunday in Indianapolis against the Colts who are 6-3. It's going to be a tough one. The game is at 6:30 our time. I suggest coming in early if you want to sit in the North Room!
    2. Our Community Service for this month is going to be for Homefront Cares. We are going to be raffling off an beautiful, awesome, gorgeous, stunning picture that we bought in Boston. Wait til you see it. It is for every New England Sports Fan out there.
The raffle will be held on November 30th between 3rd and 4th quarter. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN. The winning ticket will be announced and then, that night I will send out an email announcing the winning number. These tickets will also have your name and number on them, so I will call the winner! The tickets are $3 or 2 for $5. That's how gorgeous this picture is.
    3. We will also be pulling for our Members Only raffle prize on November 30th, same time. This month, just in time for the holidays, we have as our November prize a $100 gift card to the New England Patriots Gift Shop.
    4. . Whoopie Pie Sunday will be November 23rd!!

Hope everyone had a great bye week off. Let's hope the boys come back refreshed and ready to go. I just got home from New York where I went after the Broncos delight and I am ready for some more great football.

  • 10/22/14 Well, I still feel like I'm not over that near loss we had with the Jets. As they say: a win is a win no matter how ugly. And we all hate losing to the Jets almost as much we hate losing to the Broncos. But the whole thing was worth it just to see good ole Rex go crazy. Was that the best ever?

It was certainly nice having the weekend off. I can only imagine how good it felt to the guys. So now on to the Chicago Bears. They are coming in at 3-4 for their record and of course we are 5-2. It is on Sunday at 11 AM Mountain standard time.

I will repeat the list of things we are doing on Sunday.

On October 26th, we will be pulling the jersey raffle between 1st and 2nd quarter. Remember that we are still collecting cans for Care and Share and all proceeds form the raffle for the Brady JERSEY will be going to them. We will also be pulling for our Members Only raffle prize in between the 1st and 2nd. Halftime will be as usual, and our Patriots Pinata in between 3rd and 4th quarter. Whew...that will be a busy day!

Our congrats to Peyton Manning on his unbelievable record! If it had to go to anyone other than Tom, he would be my choice. He's just a really nice guy. Of course, I hope he takes a nosedive into nothingness on November 2nd, but that's besides the point.

Come on down ready to cheer on the team. Don't forget to make sure the kids are there for our Pinata!! GO PATS!

  • 10/13/14 What a GREAT game! Simply unbelievably awesome. We still have work to do and unfortunately we have been left with some big injuries, but as you know, they will just continue on and hopefully we'll be putting up a pile of W's. Welcome to the many new members that we have had join us the last couple of weeks. A reminder to everyone to reach out and say hi to make people feel at home. We will be bringing our speaker system on Sundays so that the other South room can hear all of the commentary from our fearless cheerleader Cody. He will be micced up.And now for some announcements

    1. REMEMBER: our next game is this Thursday at Foxboro against the Jets who absolutely suck this year. They are 1-5 but we all know that the Jets come ready to play against their nemesis, the Patriots EVERY TIME. So Bill and the gang will not be taking the prep for this game lightly. The game is at 6:30 our time.
    2. This Thursday will be "Whoopie Pie Sunday" but on a Thursday!!
    3. Don't forget to bring in your cans for Care and Share. Come in, sign the attendance and get your first raffle ticket for our half-time raffles, then come to the front of the room and donate 10 cans and get an extra ticket from Cody.
      • We will also be raffling off an authentic Brady shirt. Tickets will be $1 and 100% of the profit will be donated to Care and Share. We will be collecting cans until November 2nd.
      • The raffle for the jersey will be held on October 26th between 1st and 2nd quarter. YOU DO DNOT HAVE TO BE PRESENT TO WIN. The winning ticket will be announced and then, that night I will send out an email announcing the winning number. You will have one week....til the next Sunday to contact me or show up the next Sunday and collect your jersey. If no one shows up we will pull another ticket and the process will repeat itself.
    4. We have been given a great Patriots Football pinata which we are going to fill with candy. We will let any of our kids up to 12 years of age (starting with the 4 year olds) take one swing at it out on the outside patio in between the 3rd and 4th quarter of the Chicago Bears game on the 26th of October. (Wow, too long a sentence!)
    5. I still have 2 tickets for the Foxboro game against the Denver Broncos. Some of us will be going including, myself and Kevin, Cody, Joyce and Bernie Kokinos, but we are making plans for our replacements. Let me know by this Thursday if you want those 2 tickets or I will be selling them to my nephews!!!

So to recap, on October 26th, we will be pulling the jersey raffle between 1st and 2nd quarter. We will also be pulling for our Members Only raffle prize then. Halftime as usual, and Pinata in between 3rd and 4th quarter. Whew...that will be a busy day! See you all on Thursday.

  • 10/10/14 Well....we certainly needed that win. Little did the press know what a gift they gave us fans. Their inane, stupid, uneducated, "the world is ending" comments were just the impetus that the team needed to get a win. You could see the anger and determination in their faces from the minute they came out of the tunnel. This is the team we have become so accustomed to seeing all these years. They are back!!

Welcome to so many new members and returning members and last week we had 2 guys back from Afghanistan!! Fabulous.

Our next game is Sunday, at 11:00 AM our time against the Buffalo Bills. This is not going to be an easy game. We are tied 3-2 with them for our division. Please be LOUD.

DON'T forget your cans for Care and Share. We will also be raffling off an authentic Brady shirt. Tickets will be $1 and 100% of the profit will be donated to Care and Share. Come in, sign the attendance and get your first raffle ticket for our half-time raffles, then come to the front of the room and donate 10 cans and get an extra ticket from Cody.

We will be collecting them until November 2nd. The raffle for the jersey will be held between 3rd and 4th quarter. The winning ticket will be announced and then, that Night I will send out an email announcing the winning number. You will have one week....til the next Sunday to contact me or show up the next Sunday and collect your jersey. If no one shows up we will pull another ticket and the process will repeat itself.

Come down early, wear all your gear, don't forget to have on your lanyard and buy lots of tickets for the Care and Share Raffle. Have I forgotten anything? GO PATS

  • 10/02/14 Well, disappointed is the biggest understatement and I am not going to beat a dead horse. But I will say, I think the over reaction that I am hearing from all over is pure baloney. You didn't hear this junk when Manning had the worst game of his career in the biggest game of the year. We still have time to come back. We have to be behind the team.

For a Monday night game we had a fantastic showing. We had 89 show up. Winner of our first Members Only Raffle prize was Bernie Kokinos. Congratulations Bernie on your new New England Patriots apron, barbeque tools and lawn chair.

Our next game is this Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. They are presently 3-0. We are 2-2. To say the least, this will be an important game against a very strong team. Hopefully, BB is going to be working his magic this week. The game is at 6:30 PM Mountain Time. Come prepared to cheer and cheer loudly!!

Remember, there is to be no smoking outside the side door and starting this week you can not get the discount unless you are wearing your lanyard.

For the month of October, we will be collecting food cans for Care and Share.

    GO PATS!

  • 9/29/14 Well, I would like to apologize for no letter this past week. My computer decided to quit on me and we are now looking to buy a new one. I also had a small family emergency, but things are back on track now. Our game is tonight at 6:30 Mountain Time against the Kansas City Chiefs. It is also the last game of the month, so it is our Members Only raffle tonight. This will take place between third and fourth quarter. Remember, you must be present to win. This months’ prize consists of a New England Patriots apron, a New England Patriots set of barbecue tools, and a New England Patriots Lawn Chair.

Last weekend, which was International Association of Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend, every year, on the third Saturday of September, the International Association of Fallen Firefighters honors their members who've lost their lives within the past year. This year, we teamed up with our home bar, the Fox and Hound, and Sam Adams Brewery, who very generously donated a keg of beer, and together we hosted any New England firefighters who were still in town after the Saturday ceremony. Sunday, we had the distinct honor to have 37 firefighters along with some of their spouses show up to watch the Pats game. They were from Boston, Quincy and Framingham, MA, and Nashua, N. H. Our most hearfelt thanks to each and everyone of them who goes above and beyond every single day. Our most sincere condolences, prayers and thoughts to the family and friends of all the firefighters who have now been immortalized on the wall. Thanks to all who made this a day to remember.

Don’t forget to go online to Facebook and like our page. It’s Pikes Peak Pats Fanclub. We need more “likes”. Invite your family and friends to also “like” us. See you at the Fox and Hound. Come ready to cheer in all your Patriots gear! Let’s get loud!

  • 9/18/14 Well, thank God for our win last Sunday. I so did not want to be facing a 2 game losing streak to start the year off. Even though we won, Tom is still not happy with where we are and I can’t say I blame him. The offense did not work its’ magic. I think we will see a different team this week, but kudos to the special teams!

Our game this week is again at 11:00 AM our time against The Oakland Raiders. This is our first home game this season. A huge number of people in the room were discounting the Raiders, but you know what they say….”Any given Sunday…”

Don’t forget that this is the weekend of the IAFF – Fallen Firefighters Weekend. Hopefully we will have a bunch of guys show up. Make sure you try and say hi.

I have decided to take advantage of this beautiful weather and have changed the September Members Only Raffle prize. It is now going to be a tailgate chair, an apron and a set of barbeque tools! We’ll do the classy wine package for October. I am going to bring the prizes to put on display so that you will get psyched to come on Monday night the 29th!!

  • 9/11/14 Well, it certainly wasn't pretty and most assuredly wasn’t the way we wanted to start off the season, but now that Tom has shaved off his beard, we are just going to move on.

We can not forget that today has been hard for many people. We must never forget the sacrifice so many made. And our thoughts and prayers go out each and every day to all of our servicemen and women many of whom are far from loved ones. Our most sincere gratitude.

Welcome to all our new members. We had over 140 people on Sunday at the Fox and Hound. We love the enthusiasm. I will have the new ID cards for everyone who signed up. So far we have registered 94 people for our club this year. I will also have the Members Only Tickets for everyone. And since I don’t give out new ID cards every year, we have a small sticker that goes on your ID that shows you are a member in good standing. If you have paid your dues make sure you come up to me to get your sticker. Remember that the waitresses are looking for your landyard in order to give you your 15% discount

Here are the rules for the Members Only Raffle: Paying adult members only. We will have 4 special raffle prize drawings for members only at the last game of the month. We will have these drawings on September 29th, October 26th, November 30th, and the last one on December 28 th. We will then draw another ticket until we have a member who’s present win that month's prize. The prize for September is a Patriots cheeseboard, 2 Patriots wineglasses and a Patriots helmet wine stopper. Oh so very classy and proper!! Once you win for one of these special raffles, you can not win again.

Make sure that if you have signed up that you have received your special raffle ticket. I WILL NOT REPLACE a lost ticket. We have been encouraging everyone to keep the ticket in your lanyard. But do whatever is best for you. If you have already signed up and haven't received your ID and ticket make sure to get them before the game starts.

Don't forget that our next game is this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. The game starts at 11:00 AM our time.

On the weekend of September 20th and 21st, the IAFF, the International Association of Fallen Firefighters holds a ceremony here in Colorado Springs. It honors all firefighters who have lost their lives in the call of duty in the past year. Unfortunately, Boston lost two of its finest this past year at the Boylston Street station, the same station that answered the call on that awful day of the Boston Marathon. Every year we have a number of firemen in from the New England area show up at the Fox And Hound because they have heard it's a Patriots bar. This year Richie Parish, the Union President for the Boston Firefighters Union has let people know about the Fox And Hound being a New England Patriots bar. As a club we are going to be sponsoring any firefighter who comes in for this weekend by buying them their beer. I honestly don't know if I will have 10 people show up or 50 show up over our usual 100 members that show up weekly. I have been in touch with Sam Adams and we are in the midst of working out the logistics for the Fox and Hound to accept a keg of Sam Adams beer that will be designated for any firefighter who comes in. How unbelievably generous of them. This weekend will also be Whoopie Pie Sunday. For those that are new, we usually have Whoopie Pie Sunday 2 or 3 times a year as a special treat. If you are from New England, you know what a Whoopie Pie is!!

Don’t worry, Cody will be back this Sunday!! We missed him. Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team. GO PATS!

  • 8/19/14 Our next game is this Friday night at 5:30 PM Mountain Time and it will not be broadcast except on Satellite. We will once again be meeting at the Overtime Bar. The address is 2809 Dublin Boulevard. It is in a strip mall on the corner of Dublin and North Union, across the street from the Walgreens drugstore.

  • 8/14/14 We will meet at the Overtime Bar as we always have for preseason, for our next game against the Philadelphia Eagles at 5:30 PM. The address is 2809 Dublin Boulevard. It is in a strip mall on the corner of Dublin and North Union, across the street from the Walgreens drugstore.

  • 8/6/14 The preseason is upon us. Thank you God!

I am so sorry that I haven't got an email out until now. I just plain got busy and forgot although I did put out a notice on our Facebook page. First meeting is this Thursday night at 5:30 PM mountain time. We will meet at the Overtime Bar as we always have for preseason, in our first game against the Washington Redskins. The address is 2809 Dublin Boulevard. It is in a strip mall on the corner of Dublin and North Union, across the street from the Walgreens drugstore. I can start taking dues for this year. Be there or be square. (Pitiful!)

  • 4/23/14 Complete schedule for our upcoming season is finally here! Check back here soon for more details on the fun year ahead.

  • 1/23/14 I have finally caught up on my sleep. I want to take the time to say that regardless of the outcome of the game on Sunday, I am so very proud of the entire New England Patriots team. It has been a roller coaster since June; legal problems, injuries, losing players, HORRENDOUS ref calls, re-injuries, more injuries, rookies, and last-second victories! This team is not for the faint hearted. The Pats have given their all, been pushed to the limit, fought tough all year and can walk away holding their heads up. I am a fan for life!

Our night before party at Katie Mullens could not have been any better. A massively huge thanks to Mr. Kraft, the best owner in the NFL, a wonderful human being, a gentleman to the core, and an all-around great guy. If you look up class in the dictionary, you will find a picture of Mr. Kraft. For those that didn't know, Mr. Kraft came by our pregame celebration. He was such a great sport. Everyone likened him to a favorite uncle! His presence alone was worth everything, but then he gave us 2 tickets to the game. We added these to the Homefront Cares Raffle table.

To Stacey James, the Vice President of Public Relations for the New England Patriots organization, another round of applause and much gratitude. The raffle gifts he donated were two autographed pictures of Tom Brady, an autographed game jersey of Devon McCourty, and an autographed Patriots Wes Welker jersey, were given to the Homefront Cares Organization for their raffle. $3000 was raised for this great local charity helping deployed families. Many thanks to all who bought tickets.

To Fred Kirsch, a huge thank you for helping to publicize the party info and also for donating the following raffle prizes: an autographed Chandler Jones mini helmet, an autographed Jamie Commons mini helmet, an autographed Talib Patriots baseball cap, and an autographed Ammendola game jersey. If you are not listening to PFW then you are truly missing a gem!!

We were lucky enough to have two hats that have been on Mr. Krafts head (LOL). And a pen and pencil that he used to write some very important documents.

The DJ and his assistants were great. Thank you, Brian Stone, Chris Weaver and Matt Stenson. Good job! To Barry Inciong from Patriots Tailgate Nation for his assistance, wisdom and helping with the P.R. To the following for all of their help with the sign-in table, the raffles tickets, the koozies, balloons, cake cutting, decorating and then the tearing down: Susan Griswold, Cheryl Cosky, Kerry Stone, Sarah Stone, Greg Hunt, Becky Brock, Mark Griswold, Janet King, Donna Balmforth, Nicole Pedigo, and most of all to my husband Kevin Stone for all of the work he consistently does. A huge thank you to all of you.

And of course, Cody, my partner in crime, my "football husband", (so many think we are married!) Thanks for all the cheerleading and doing what I tell you...most of the time!!

Don’t forget to start saving your money for a trip back home next fall!! The Broncos are going out there again and depending on when during the season, (obviously we won’t go if the game is too close to Thanksgiving or Christmas) we will do a nice, large roadtrip!! GO PATS and here's to next season!!

  • 1/13/14 How unbelievable that we are playing Denver again!! The game is at 1:00 PM Mountain Time. Come dressed up in all your Patriots glory!! We will be hosting a Night Before Party on Saturday Night in Denver. All the details are below.

I will need a headcount this Thursday, January 16th.

    FOX AND HOUND
We will still have the North Room (our regular room). The main Room is on a first come first served basis so we need to get there in droves EARLY. The North Room, (our regular room) will be for Patriots fans only. We are politely asking members to use the main room if you are bringing friends who are not Patriots fans. It really isn't fair for someone to hold up seats for non-Pats fans especially for the playoffs. We are not really strict with the regular season, but we are asking for some leeway here for the playoffs.

The pool tables in the North Room will be used for the food. This will cut down considerably on seating so come and get seats in the main room EARLY!!! F&H will decorate with red, white and blue balloons and crepe paper. We will use all of our banners etc.

We will be having a buffet that will consist of: Salsa and chips, cheese and crackers, fruit trays, veggie trays with dip, both Caesar Salad and House Salad. Then the buffet table will have Beer Battered Chicken Tenders, Grand Champion wings in 4 different flavors, Corn Dog Minis., Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza, and Italian Ziti. Dessert will be a special cake. PPP members: $15 & kids-$10. Non-members $20 & $15.

This includes tax and tip. Drinks are on your own. This is the deal of the year!!

I will need a headcount this Thursday, January 16th. When you email please let me know how many adults and how many kids. You DO NOT have to do the buffet. You can order off the menu if you want, we just thought that this would be easier for most of us. When you get to Fox and Hound the day of the game we will have a sign-in table where you will pay your fee and get a bracelet that will allow you to go to the buffet table.

REMEMBER: Come early!! GO PATS! GO PATS!! GO PATS!!

  • 1/10/14 32 HOURS TIL GAME TIME!!!

Pats vs the Colts. Come prepared in all of your New England Patriots Regalia! Come ready to cheer. Be there early if you want a seat in the North room. Remember that we are the second game so there will most likely be people there in our regular seats. Let's show them what great sports fans we are. After this......only 2 more games to go.

  • 1/05/14 Well, it's official...we play the Indianapolis Colts next Saturday at 6:15 PM our time! DO NOT leave home without your Members Only Tickets. Come prepared to cheer and cheer loudly!! GO PATRIOTS!!

  • 12/31/13 What a season! Through all of the craziness of the messes from the legal standpoint, injuries and re injuries, signing and not signing players, horrendous ref calls, etc., look where we are.

Remember we've got the bye, so there will be no game on the weekend of the 4th and 5th. Our next game is Saturday night, January 11th at 6:15 PM. This will be a home game played at Foxboro against the highest seed from the wild card games, so our opponent will be decided this upcoming weekend. Do not throw away your Members Only raffle tickets as we will use some of these tickets for prizes during the playoff games! I am ordering new raffle prizes as we speak!!

The December Members only Prize was won yesterday by Cacki Wray. Congrats. If you are on Facebook, be sure to look at our page as I have been posting a lot to it!!

The list of next years opponents (away and home games) for the Pats came out today and we now know that we will be playing the Broncos in Foxboro some time next year. Three years in a row!! Go figure! The season's schedule will come out in April, so depending on when we are playing them, we might have a trip to Foxboro again! This years game was the Sunday night before Thanksgiving and that's why we didn't go. The plane fares were ridiculous. So unless its just before Christmas, I think we will plan to make a trip. A Happy and Healthy and above all, a Safe New Year to all. Here's to a great post-season, and a quick prayer to all of our servicemen and women serving all around the globe.

  • 12/13/13 DO NOT forget your Toys for Tots this Sunday. Our game is at 11:00 AM against the Dolphins, who are 7-6. With that great loss on the part of the Broncos, we just may be tied with them this weekend. We will be taking our club photo at halftime, so please try to come. Be dressed in all of your Patriots glory.

  • 12/3/13 I don't know how much more of this play I can take!! But a win is a win. We are on now to next Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns who are presently 4 and 8. It's at 11:00 AM our time. Be there for all of the excitement. The winner of the Gronk jersey was present at the game on Sunday. It was Bernie Kokinos who I estimate bought $100 worth of tickets!! LOL. So there is no need to announce the number. The prize for the Members Only Raffle this month is a beautiful Jacket and hat. That will be drawn on December 29th.

We will start collecting toys for our Toys for Tots Community Service. They should be new unwrapped toys. We only have until Sunday the 15th which basically gives us only 2 Sundays to collect. During the halftime on the 15th we will do our annual club picture holding up all of the toys which we will use on our web site as well as our Facebook page and will submit to the Patriots. So make sure you come that day. Just as a reminder, if you are on Facebook, please make sure you go to our page and "Like" us.

At the end of the year we will be passing out an evaluation form where we would truly like your input for the club, the Facebook Page, the Web Site, the dues, raffle prizes, etc. That will be on the 29th.

  • 11/21/13 SUNDAY NIGHT...BRONCOS vs PATRIOTS....6:30 PM....BE THERE!

  • 11/15/13 NO GAME ON SUNDAY!! Our next game is on Monday, November 18th at 6:30 PM against the Panthers.

We are still collecting cans for Care and Share. Anyone who brings an extra 5 cans of food will receive an extra raffle ticket from me. Our schedule for the next couple of weeks will be Sunday night the 24th against the Broncos at 6:30 PM and then the next 3 games are at 11 AM our time. They changed the time of the Houston game on December 1st. We will still be selling raffle tickets for the beautiful Gronk Jersey for $1 with all the proceeds going to Wounded Warriors. See you Monday night!!

  • 10/19/13 Greetings Fellow New England Patriots Fans,
    October 19, 8:07 pm ET @ Fenway Park TV:FOX
    So...6:07 our time at Rhinos

  • 10/17/13 Well, I don't know if you heard this on Monday morning on the news, but there was a seismic event on the East side of Colorado Springs on Sunday. I think the Fox and Hound building actually move 1/2 inch to the right when Tom Brady threw that touchdown pass!. For those of you that left early, you missed the celebration of the year. Was that unbelievable or what?? For the first time in my life I actually had a hoarse voice the next day... that's how much screaming I did!!

    God, that was absolutely unbelievable.

    Some quick announcements:

    1. We are collecting cans for Care and Share and because I forgot to send a letter last week we would like everybody to pileup and bring stuff on Sunday. Come in, sign the attendance and get your first raffle ticket, then come to the front of the room and donate 10 cans and get an extra ticket from Cody for the half-time raffle. Don't forget that we are selling $1 raffle tickets for a John Hannah Game Jersey. All proceeds go to Care and Share. Remember that Hannah was the first New England Patriot to be inducted into the National Football Hall of Fame. This is a great jersey to own. Buy up those tickets!!
    2. This weeks game is against the New York Jets at 11 AM our time being played in New York. This is always a crowded game so come early!! Be dressed and ready to cheer.
    3. I have been asked to repeat the info about our club supporting Bob Kraft. This has been a difficult summer for the Patriots Nation as you all know. It has been especially hard for Bob Kraft and the entire team. As a club, we are asking all of our members to send a card or just drop a quick note to Bob Kraft in support of him and the team. Just let him know how proud we are to be New England Patriots fans and that we stand behind himand the outstanding job the organization has done in handlingthe entire Aaron Hernandez debacle.
      His address is:
Robert Kraft, Chairman and CEO New England Patriots
      One Patriot Place
      Foxborough, MA 02035

Please include the fact that you are part of the Pikes Peak Pats in Colorado Springs!
    4. Next week, Sunday, October 27th is Members Only Raffle Sunday. Make sure that you have your ticket with you. After the third quarter, we will draw for that prize and the member MUST BE THERE. If we call your number and you didn’t make that game, your ticket will go back into the pile and you will be eligible to win for any of the following months. Once you win for one of these special raffles, you can not win again. The average value of the special Members Only raffle prize will be about $100. You will be given that special ticket when you sign up and we strongly suggest that you put it immediately in your landyard. There will be NO, I repeat NO tickets given out as a replacement for lost tickets. Octobers' prize is an afghan, coffe cup, beer glass and the armchair tray!!
    5. Red Sox are one win away from going to the World Series!! The next game will be Saturday at 2:30 PM. We will be watching it at Rhinos. 4307 Integrity Center Point NW corner of Powers and Barnes 719-578-0608.

  • 10/04/13 Huge apologies for your not receiving a letter last week. I was away and sent one out from my new Ipad and for some reason I am the only one who received it. I also apologize to Cheryl Cosky and Garry Harrington. I also sent out the following email which went to only me

    Last weeks letter:
Well another win and we're starting off with a 3–0 record. What a relief. Our next game, is against the Atlanta Falcons in Atlanta. The game starts at 6:30 PM mountain time.

Don't forget that Cody and I will not be at the game. We will be in Vermont at Duane and Sue's wedding. Congrats to our very first two newlyweds who met because of the New England Patriots. Think of us frolicking in all those beautiful colored leaves!

Mike McCoy, our vice president of Casino Affairs, will be taking over for us at halftime. Joyce and Terri will still be there accepting registrations and giving out IDs.
Remember that we also have the South Room now. This was a great success this past Sunday.

We had a total of 138 people at the game including the six firefighters from Massachusetts who came to our game. They were very impressed with the size and friendliness of our crowd. They had a wicked blast. They are going to tell all the other reps of the international Association of Firefighters from the New England area, and I won't be surprised to see 50 or 60 guys show up next year!

I have been asked to reprint the address for Robert Kraft. We have had many people who have received letters thanking them for their kind words. It is:

Robert Kraft, CEO New England Patriots 1 Patriot Place Foxboro, MA 02035.

Don't forget: show up early, come dressed in all your gear, and try to woo woo as much as you can. GO PATRIOTS!

Another win and unfathomable as it is we are now 4-0. We were able to watch the end of the game after the wedding was over. What a nail biter. Many, many thanks to Mike McCoy for taking over for Cody and I. We heard he did a great job. Many thanks to Joyce, Bernie, Terri, Skip and Brian for all of their help also. As much as we loved going to the wedding (which was like a fairytale) I think Cody was worried about you guys back here. I'll tell you, there is nothing like a New England Fall and we were only at the beginning of the foliage turn!! Our next game this Sunday...11 AM our time at the Fox and Hound against the Cincinnati Bengals who are 2-2. Be there!!

    RED SOX
Start today against Tampa Bay. Right now we are at the top of the 8th and we are winning 8-2. For Saturdays game which is at 3:30, we are going to be meeting at Rhinos which is at 4307 Integrity Center Point NW corner of Powers and Barnes 719-578-0608. The Fox is unfortunately all booked up.

    GO PATS!! GO RED SOX!!

  • 9/17/13 Well, it certainly wasn't pretty but we will take it. A win is a win even if it's ugly. Those words sound familiar? I said them last week. Both the Pats and the Jets played horribly but we'll take the "W". Next game is Sunday at 11:00 AM our time against the Buccaneers in Foxboro.

I have a couple of quick announcements.

    1. I talked to Mike Buzzell, the Whoopie pie guy who makes the Whoopie Pies that we were going to have on our first Whoopie Pie Sunday. (Boy that was a lot of times I repeated the word Whoopie Pie! ) Anyway right now he is in between kitchen's and will not be able to make them this week. So we will have to have two Whoopie Pie Sundays in October. Dates to be announced later.
    2. We are very aware that there is a lot of frustration with the seating and even if you get to the Fox and Hound at 10:10, sometimes there are just no seats left. I have talked to Doug Winters who is the regional manager for all of the Fox and Hounds in this area of Colorado. Starting this upcoming Sunday, we are going to try something new. We will have both the north and the south rooms. The north room is the room we are in now. We will have both rooms decorated and the staff will put out the free Tostitos and salsa on the tables before the game. I would like anyone who is going to sit in the south room to go there first, put your things down and get your seats, then come to the north room to sign the attendance sheet and get your raffle ticket.

They will have a wireless microphone system set up so that you will be able to hear Cody lead his cheering from the North room. As usual we would like people to step into the north room during the halftime to hear the numbers pulled for the half-time raffle prizes.

Let's try this for a couple of games and see how it works.

Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team. GO PAT

  • 9/11/13 Well, it certainly wasn't pretty but we will take it. A win is a win even if it's ugly.

Welcome to all our new members. We had over 120 people on Sunday at the Fox and Hound. We love the enthusiasm. I will have the new ID cards for everyone who signed up.

So far we have registered 98 people for our club this year. That is the most we have ever had on the day of the first game.

Don't forget that next game is not next Sunday. It is tomorrow Thursday night at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro against the New York Jets. The game starts at 6:25 PM our time.

Come early. Come dressed in all of your Pats gear. Come ready to cheer on our team. GO PATS!

  • 8/20/13 The pre-season continues this Thursday at 5:30 PM Mountain time against the Detroit Lions! As usual we will be meeting at The Overtime Sports Bar and Grille, 2809 Dublin Blvd Colorado Springs, CO (719) 531-6032. It is located on the SE corner of Dublin and Union. Fox and Hounds is unable to get the pre-season games so we will be seeing all of these games here at the Overtime. We will resume our regular season games at the Fox and Hound starting September 8th.

I will have registration forms with me at the game. Pay up now and avoid the rush later!!

Make sure you are wearing your Pats gear!!

We realize that this is a very busy time of year with school etc. but we hope to see you there!

  • 8/7/13 Greetings Fellow New England Patriot Fans,
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!? It's back and the pre-season starts this Friday at 5:30 PM Mountain time against the Philadelphia Eagles! As usual we will be meeting at The Overtime Sports Bar and Grille, 2809 Dublin Blvd Colorado Springs, CO (719) 531-6032. It is located on the SE corner of Dublin and Union. Fox and Hounds is unable to get the pre-season games so we will most likely be seeing all of these games here at the Overtime. We will resume our regular season games at the Fox and Hound starting September 8th. I will have registration forms with me at the game. Make sure you are wearing your Pats gear!! The more people show up the better chance we have of getting the big screen TV in the pit!! We realize that this is a very busy time of year with school etc. but we hope to see you there!

This is a long letter so please read to the end to catch up with all of our news.

    A couple of announcements:

    1. After much debate and agonizing, we decided at an Executive Board meeting that we will be raising registration fees from $15 for adults and $5 for kids to $20 for adults and $10 for kids in elementary (5th grade and under). The dues have been the same since 2006 and while everything else in the world has gone up, we have tried VERY hard to keep our fees low. Our biggest expense which is raffle prizes has gone up considerably. Should this be a financial hardship for anyone please feel free to talk to Cody or I confidentially and believe me...we will make it work out.
    2. We will again be having Members Only raffles where we will have 4 special raffle prize drawings for members only at the last game of the month. We will have these drawings on September 29th, October 27th, and November 24th, and the last one will be on December 29th. If we go to the Superbowl, we will also have one at then. Here is how it will work: after the third quarter, we will have a special color ticket that will be for paying members only. We will draw for that prize and the member MUST BE THERE. If we call your number and you didn’t make that game, your ticket will go back into the pile and you will be eligible to win for any of the following months.
    3. This year we are adding one more Community Service to our Calendar. We are moving Care and Share to the month of October and putting the Wounded Warriors Project on for the month of November. We will keep Toys for Tots for the month of December. All 3 months we will be raffling off an official New England Patriots Jersey that Fox and Hound has donated and all proceeds from the $1 raffle tickets will go to that month’s charity. Many thanks to the Fox and Hound.
    4. We are going to do our football squares as usual and are reinstating our kids report card reward program.
    5. This year we are going to have a "kids "table at the front of the room. We love having kids and have always prided ourselves in being family-oriented but we also try very hard to listen to our members concerns. So we will have a kids table called "Cody's Kids" where we will have crayons and coloring books and a treat of candy with the parents permission. Helpers for our half-time raffles will be picked from the kids table.
    6. This has been a difficult summer for the Patriots Nation as you all know. It has been especially hard for Bob Kraft and the entire team. As a club, we are asking all of our members to send a card or just drop a quick note to Bob Kraft in support of him and the team. Just let him know how proud we are to be New England Patriots fans and that we stand behind him and the outstanding job the organization has done in handling the entire Aaron Hernandez debacle. I will have some blank cards for that use at the games.
      His address is:
Robert Kraft, Chairman and CEO New England Patriots
      One Patriot Place
      Foxborough, MA 02035
Please include the fact that you are part of the Pikes Peak Pats in Colorado Springs!

    See you all Friday!

    Patriotically Yours
    Anne M. Stone, President

2/2/12 End of year party. We want to know how many people would be interested in a fun party to still celebrate our boys and the great fun filled year we had. Let me know and if we have enough interest we will definitely have a get together!!

2/1/12Well, I am officially out of mourning!! It was still a great year and we had a great season. Not the ending we wanted, but when we have Gronk back next year, we'll be superb!!

Super Bowl Squares – I have received a couple of emails and here's the deal. It makes no difference that the Pats are not in the Super Bowl. You are still in the running. Here's how it works. There are winners for the end of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters, $375 each. There is a $775 winner for the final score – not necessarily for the end of the 4th quarter because if we go into overtime the winner will be the final game score. There is $25 to whoever has the horrible numbers that never win 2–2, –5, 8–8, and 9–9. There is $25 for the 4 neighbors of the winning numbers, so if the score is 3 and 0, then the square on top, below, to the right and to the left also win each quarter. The final winners are the opposite score each quarter. So if so if the score is 3 and 0, then the square that is 0 and 3 wins $25 each quarter.

4 score winners2–4 horrible score winners2–4 opposite score winners- and 16 neighbor winners. That's 28 winners in total. You have at least a 1 in 4 chance of winning your $25 back. Cody will be at the Fox and Hound the day of the game. If you are there and you win, you will get your money then. Otherwise you will receive your money the following weekend as Cody is busy the Monday after Super Bowl until Saturday, the 9th. ALL winners will get a call. DO NOT WORRY. This is a great Super Bowl Square and I feel bad for all those that didn't get a chance to participate.

1/17/12 Please go to our facebook page and "like" us!! The guy who runs all of the social media for the Patriots looks at stuff like that. Get everyone you know to like us!!

1/15/12How unbelievable that Denver lost and that we now have to play the Ravens with that loser Ray Lewis. The game is at our Mountain Time 4:30 PM. Come dressed up in all your Patriots glory!!

We will have both the North Room (our regular room) and the main room.

F&H will decorate with red, white and blue balloons and crepe paper. We will use all of our banners etc.

We will be having a buffet that will consist of: Salsa and chips, cheese and crackers, fruit trays, veggie trays with dip, both Caesar Salad and House Salad. Then the buffet table will have Beer Battered Chicken Tenders, Grand Champion wings in 4 different flavors, Spicy Chicken Billiard Sticks, Cheese and Pepperoni Pizza, and Italian Ziti. Dessert will be a special cake. PPP members: $15 & kids-$10. Non-members $20 & $15.

This includes tax and tip. Drinks are on your own. This is the deal of the year!!

I will need a headcount this Thursday, January 17th.

GO PATS! GO PATS!! GO PATS!!

1/7/12Well it's us and the Texans. Woo woo!! Make sure you are there in all of your regalia.

The following Saturday, the Broncos have to beat the Ravens and then on Sunday we have to beat the Texans and then we will have the Patriots coming to Denver to play the Broncos for the AFC Championship. If that happens, how many people would be interested in coming to a night before party at Kate Mullen's in downtown Denver on Saturday night, January 19th? Details to be worked out later. There would be a fee (Probably $20) that would include appetizers, a small souvenir, a DJ, and raffle tickets for free Patriots prizes at the end of the night. There will also be a special raffle prize with paid tickets for a super prize. All proceeds would go to the Homefront Cares Organization. which offers support for Colorado's service members, veterans, and family members who have been impacted by deployment in harm's way. They serve all branches of the military, whether active duty, Guard, Reserve or veteran. Please email Anne if you would be interested in coming. Just trying to gauge the interest!!

1/6/12I received the following from Allen Mathews who runs the Hungry Heroes part of the Homefront cares Organization.

Thank you all for your efforts in welcoming home our Hungry Heroes in 2012. You were part of over 330 greeters from at least 12 organizations who spent over 600 hours greeting 55 flights last year. You handed out almost 8400 McDonald's quarter pounders with cheese and 400 cases of Coke beverages to almost 7700 soldiers returning to Ft Carson, as well as another 1400 soldiers and Marines.

None of this could have been done without you and your organizations' presence at all hours of the day and night. We're especially grateful for the continued support of McDonald's and Coca Cola.

We've already starting greeting units returning from Afghanistan in 2013 so be prepared to see an email announcing your group's time to greet. Thanks again and Happy New Year,

Allen "Al" Mathews

12/27/12In case you didn't know:

Seven members of the New England Patriots have been selected to the AFC Pro Bowl squad. Quarterback Tom Brady, TE Rob Gronkowski, G Logan Mankins, LB Jerod Mayo, WR Matthew Slater(special teams), WR Wes Welker and DT Vince Wilfork have been selected to represent the New England Patriots and the AFC in the 2013 Pro Bowl on Jan. 27, 2013 at Aloha Stadium in Hawaii.

It is the eighth Pro Bowl selection for Brady (2001, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012) and fifth for Mankins (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012), Welker (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012) and Wilfork (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012).

Gronkowski and Slater earned their second straight Pro Bowl invitations, while Mayo (2010 and 2012) also earned a Pro Bowl berth for the second time.

Gronkowski, Mankins, Mayo and Wilfork were selected as starters.

12/27/12 Here's hoping everyone has had fantastic holidays with loved ones and friends. We had a real nail biter last Sunday and we all know that the Pats have to come out of their coma and wake up or the playoff run is going to be short and sweet.

The winner of the Gray Brady jersey was present at the game, congrats to Tony Garner. How he won when I had 100 tickets is beyond me. We also had the winners of the guess the M&M's with the Emergency Roadside kit won by Thomas Garside. The actual amount was 1344 and he guessed 1251. The winner of the guess the Hershey Kisses with the Patriots backpack was Michael Stone who guessed 309 and the actual amount was 311!

Our next and final season game against the Miami Dolphins is this Sunday with a time change from 11:00 AM to 2:25 PM!

Don't forget that this is our last Members Only Raffle prize for the year.

For those interested, just in case the Pats come out to play the Broncos in the playoffs we have been tentatively penciled in at Kate Mullen's up in Denver for a night-before party. We have not made any decisions or plans just yet as we have to wait and see!! Just a quick heads up!! Come on down Sunday and hope to see you there with all of your regalia on!!

12/22/12 We hope to see you all Sunday morning at Fox and Hound for our 11:00 game at Jacksonville. This is the day we will raffle off the Tom Brady jersey with all proceeds going to Toys for Tots. Many thanks to all who so generously gave to our toy drive. Thanks to the management at F&H who delivered all of the toys.

Come ready to cheer on the boys in Florida. GO PATS!!

12/14/12Monday...work night...school night...nationally televised...how many people would we ordinarily see? About 20–30!! Well if you were not there Monday night in our crowd of 90 then you missed the best time ever. Who would have thought that it would have been such a public beating??? It was like they didn't show up for the game!! It was an absolute, wicked, awesome, fun time at the Fox and Hound!! What a great night for the Pats to kick some Houston butt!! Best record in the NFL wearing their silly Letterman coats!! LOL!

Next game, Sunday night against the 49er's at Gillette!! Come on down dressed in all of your gear for the 6:30 game. I swear they do their best when we are loud. So wear your jersey and come ready to cheer!

They are coming in at 9–3–1 and we are as you know 10-3. The 49er's come to town Sunday surrendering just 14.2 PPG, stingiest in the NFL.

They are our toughest defense we will have faced!!

Don't forget that we are still going to be collecting new unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. We are still going to be selling the $1 tickets for the BEAUTIFUL Gray Tom Brady Jersey which will be raffled off on December 23rd.

12/9/12 Two quick things!

  1. Happy Hanukah to all of our Jewish members as well as to the Krafts!! Happy 8 days.
  2. Let's remember Pearl Harbor and give a silent thanks to all who have served and are serving now, especially to those that made the supreme sacrifice and the ones they left behind.

Don't forget that we are still going to be collecting new unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. We are still going to be selling the $1 tickets for the BEAUTIFUL Gray Tom Brady Jersey which will be raffled off on December 23rd.

See you Monday night by 6:30. GO PATS!

12/7/12That was quite the game on Sunday. As far as Patriot's history goes, Brady became the 1st starting QB in NFL history to win 10 division titles, surpassing Joe Montana's 9.

The winner of our Member's Only Raffle prize was Buddy Rutherford, a longtime member of the Pikes Peak Pats. Our next Member's Only Raffle prize which will be drawn on December 30th is called "Burgers for everyone?"which is a Patriots Cook out Extravaganza which includes a Patriots grill cover, a Patriots tank cover, a Patriots apron, and a Patriots Barbeque Tool set.

Don't forget that we are still going to be collecting new unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. We are still going to be selling the $1 tickets for the BEAUTIFUL Gray Tom Brady Jersey which will be raffled off on December 23rd. You do not need to be present to attend. We will pick a number and if the person isn't there, they will have exactly one week to call or email me to claim their raffle prize. I will send out an email with the winning number that night. We will also pick a second number as a back-up.

Don't forget to take your guesses in the Guess How Many M&M's and Guess How Many Hershey Kisses are in the jars. The winning prizes are a Patriots Trooper Back Pack and a Patriots Roadside Emergency Kit. Members only may take guesses. The closest without going over will win.

Next game is Monday night against the Houston Texans who are having a killer year. They come in at 11–1 and the game starts at 6:30 our time. Come on down with all of your gear and let's help by really cheering loudly!!

11/27/12 FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — On Thursday, Nov. 22, the New England Patriots took the field on Thanksgiving Day for the fifth time in franchise history and the fourth time since 2000. Unlike the previous three contests which pitted New England against the Detroit Lions, this year’s game featured a divisional match up against the New York Jets. The Patriots set a new Thanksgiving Day franchise record by recording a local household television rating of 35.2 on Thursday night. Prior to Thursday’s game, the Patriots high rating on Thanksgiving was 25.24—a number achieved during the team’s 2010 victory over the Lions. This year’s game also received a household share of 61. The household share of 61 means that on average 61 percent of all televisions in use in the Boston market during the game were tuned in to the Patriots.

OK, now for our little business!!

  1. Would the Pikes Peak Pats be able to meet a flight of 270 soldiers from Fort Carson coming back from Afghanistan on Friday morning, Nov. 30th at 1:30 AM? I know this is a very inconvenient time for most people but these guys and gals have certainly put up with plenty of "inconveniences" for a year. When they come in at this time of morning, it is even more important that there is a crowd to greet them and give out the cheeseburgers, drinks and Whoopie Pies. Our being there at that time of the morning, shows them how much we care!! So far I have Kevin Stone and Bernie Kokinos willing to give up some sleep. I need at least 4 more members!! Believe me it will be the best 2 hours you've ever donated, giving so little but getting back so much.
  2. 2. Our next game is Sunday, December 2nd at 11:00 AM our time. Our Members Only raffle prize which is usually drawn at the last game of the month, for the month of November, it will be drawn that day between the 3rd and 4th quarter. I will repeat for the last time that it is a Patriots Bathroom Ensemble which includes a Patriots shower curtain, Patriots shower curtain rings, a Patriots soap dish, a Patriots towel and Patriots face cloths.
  3. We start collecting Toys for Tots, (brand new unwrapped toys) and will start raffling off that beautiful gray Brady authentic jersey for the same $1 per raffle ticket with all proceeds going to Toys for Tots.
  4. If we could have as many people as possible bring their toys this Sunday then we could take our club picture holding up the toys. The weather is supposed to be 67 degrees!! Hopefully with a Marine in full dress uniform!! I have a call into the marine Corps Recruiting Station! This will go on the front page of our web site and of course on our face book page!! Come dressed in all of your gear for the picture!!!

11/22/12Happy Thanksgiving and Go Pats!

11/21/12 Well I guess I am sort of the good luck charm because when I left our score seemed to skyrocket. Too bad they didn't pull the Gronk! What a bummer! Great win but now we are faced with the prospect of the Gronk out for the rest of the season! And right before the Jets game! Damn!

The winner of the Brady Jersey raffled for $1 a ticket was Sean McNaley and we raised a total of $340. Hats off to all of our generous fans. We soooooooooo have the best Fan Club in the world. If there were a contest we would definitely be in first place!

So, it's a very short week for us as we are playing the Jets on Thursday night at 6:20 Mountain Time. Happy Thanksgiving to all and especially to those serving somewhere without family and to those families having Thanksgiving without loved ones. Our eternal thanks and sincere best wishes to all of our wonderful servicemen and women.

Ok,though it will be Thanksgiving night, I know we will be having a bit of a crowd depending on how many are home and what time everyone is eating dinner. I have received multiple emails from people and though it won't be a big crowd, I think we will have about 40ish fans there. Unfortunately, I won't be coming as I get really tired at the end of the day. Cody and Joyce Kokinos, our Treasurer are going to be there so there will definitely be some prizes for half time.

I am sure that the Jets are dancing a jig that Gronk is out. We need this win in the worst way. Though we're 7-3 and they are 4-6, we all know they always come ready for bear! But I truly believe that we have what it takes. So come prepared to cheer on our boys.

Enjoy your turkey and remember that our Members only raffle prize which is usually drawn at the last game of the month, for the month of November, it will be drawn on December 2nd. In November we only had 3 games and our last is Thanksgiving and since we won't have a big turnout we have decided to make it the first week of December.

And let's not forget that we start collecting for Toys for Tots in December too!!

As a matter of fact, the game on December 2nd is at 11 am our time so if we could have as many people as possible bring toys for our collection, maybe we could have a huge picture of the entire fanclub taken at half time holding toys such as we did a couple of years ago. So everyone who is a member try to come that day. If there is foul weather we will take it indoors and if not we can go right outside on the north side of the building.

GO PATS!!

11/10/12We have only 2 weekends to collect foodstuffs for Care and Share because: #1, our bye week was the first weekend in November and #2, Thanksgiving is early this year, there are 5 Thursday's in November and Thanksgiving is on #4.

We will have an Authentic Brady Jersey as a raffle prize with all of the proceeds from the raffle going to Care and Share. The raffle tickets are $1. So come prepared to buy up tickets and remember it goes to a great cause.

Members Only Raffle: Because the last game in November is actually on Thanksgiving Day, we will have the November drawing on December 2nd, Paying adult members only. Here is how it will work. After the third quarter we will have a special color ticket that will be for paying members only. We will draw for that prize and the member MUST BE THERE. If we call your number and you didn’t make that game, your ticket will go back into the pile and you will be eligible to win for any of the following months. We will then draw another ticket until we have a member there win that month's prize. The winner of October's Member's Only Prize was John Tobin. October's prize was called "Drinks anyone?" It was a wine carafe, 2 metal embossed wine glasses, a cork opener, and 2 wine stoppers as well as a pack of those cute little umbrellas for all of your exotic drinks!!

The November's Member's Only Raffle Prize is called "Excuse me please!" It is a Patriots Bathroom Ensemble which includes a Patriots shower curtain, Patriots shower curtain rings, a Patriots soap dish, a Patriots towel and Patriots face cloths.

Our next game is this Sunday at 11:00 AM our time. We play the Bills at Foxboro. The following Sunday our originally scheduled game against the Colts has had the time changed from 11:00 AM our time to 2:25 PM our time. Come ready to cheer and bring whatever canned goods you can. Be prepared to buy the $1 raffle tickets for the Brady Jersey.

Don't forget that we have a bye this week. NO GAME ON SUNDAY

11/3/12 Thank you to a fellow member of the Pikes Peak Pats, there is a great deal here on groupon for the Fox and Hound! You have until the end of the night to purchase the deal. It's a coupon for $10 for $20 worth of casual fare for the Fox and Hound. Could be good to use at a Pikes Peak Pats gathering, so take advantage!

If you are interested in purchasing this coupon, please click here to redeem this offer!

11/3/12Many, many thanks for my beautiful bouquet. Has certainly made the pain in my knee more tolerable. Unnecessary but totally appreciated.

Don't forget that we have a bye this week. NO GAME ON SUNDAY

10/23/12 For those that were there last Sunday, what a blast. Gut wrenching and nail biting but a blast. I just don't know how many times our hearts can take it! I don't know if you ever watch ESPN but listening to those guys talk about the NFL in general is eye opening. We are presently 4–3 which is as we all know NOT a great record but out of 32 teams we only have 7 teams that are better than us. How bizarre is that? We have Giants 5–2, Bears 5–1, Falcons 6–0, 49ers 5–2, Ravens 5–2, Texans 6–1, and Vikings 5–2. Crazy! Out of all those teams we only meet 2 of them for the rest of the season.

Remember that next week is Members Only Raffle. This will take place between the 3rd and 4th quarter. This Months raffle prize for Members Only is called "Drinks anyone?" It is a wine carafe, 2 metal embossed wine glasses, a cork opener, and 2 wine stoppers as well as a pack of those cute little umbrellas for all of your exotic drinks!!

Remember if your name is not called for this months prize do not throw away your ticket, it is still good for the rest of the Members only raffles the rest of the year!

Our next game is this Sunday at 11:00 AM our time. We play the Lions at Wembly Stadium in London! You can not receive a raffle ticket for halftime unless you speak in an English accent to Cody! So Pip, Pip and Cheerio if you want a halftime ticket. Fox and Hound will only be serving Beefeaters Gin that day. (Just kidding!) Go Pats.

10/20/12Our next meeting is tomorrow, Sunday, October 21, for the Patriots–Jets game at 2:25PM. We are at our home bar the Fox and Hound. We will be staying in the North Room. The Fox and Hound Bar and Grill, 3101 New Center Point Drive, Colo. Springs, CO 80922 719–570–0500. Come and join to cheer on the Pats against the Jets!! Go Pats!

10/18/12Well, it's been a long week and that loss was a killer. What trash talking punks those Seahawks are. Very disappointing. Probably about the most bizarre thing right now is that the entire AFC East is 3–3. The Pats, Jets, Dolphins and Bills!! And so that brings us to our next game on Sunday at 2:25 PM at the Fox and Hound in New England. As usual this will be a great rivalry game so come prepared to cheer. Don't forget to sign in on the sign in sheet, because the more people in the room the more prizes we pick. One for every 10 people!!

10/13/12Our next meeting is tomorrow, Sunday, October 14, for the Patriots–Seahawks game at 2:05PM. We are at our home bar the Fox and Hound. We will be staying in the North Room. The Fox and Hound Bar and Grill, 3101 New Center Point Drive, Colo. Springs, CO 80922 719–570–0500. Come and join to cheer on the Pats against the Seahakws! For those who didn't make it to Foxboro for the Broncos–Pats game, we would love to share our amazing time with pictures and stories! Go Pats!

10/11/12 I am finally somewhat caught up on my sleep from one of the most fantastic weekends evaaahhh!! We all had such a blast and the fact that we beat the Broncos made it 100 times better!! Hopefully the next time we do this, we can get notice much sooner and that way have more people sign up and be able to come out and enjoy one of the most premium stadiums in the NFL. The new stadium was built after I moved here to the Springs and although I have been to Patriot Place and the Proshop, I had never seen a game in the stadium. It was the same for many of us. More details on Sunday!!

Our game Sunday is at Seattle against the Seahawks at 2:05 our time. This will mark the first time that Tom Brady has ever played in what is considered to be the loudest stadium in the NFL. We will need lots of cheering so come prepared in your Pats gear and with your outdoor voices!!! GO PATS!

10/7/12IT HAS ARRIVED! We are in Massachusetts for the big game! Broncos VS Patriots. We are here and will be set up in the NE corner off lot 3 right next to the pedestrian walkway. Looking at the map it's the lowest right hand corner of lot 3 next to lot 4. Woo woo! For everyone back in Colorado, everyone else is still meeting at the Fox and Hound in the North Room. The Fox and Hound Bar and Grill, 3101 New Center Point Drive, Colo. Springs, CO 80922 719–570–0500.

10/6/12We have all landed in Massachusetts and are getting ready for the big day tomorrow! Woo woo! For everyone back in Colorado, everyone else is still meeting at the Fox and Hound in the North Room. The Fox and Hound Bar and Grill, 3101 New Center Point Drive, Colo. Springs, CO 80922 719–570–0500.

10/5/12Just a quick note. It is definitely going to be raining by 4–6 pm on Sunday. As part of the money you paid we were going to surprise everyone and give you a rain poncho, but I am afraid people will buy their own, etc, so bring warm clothing but don't bring a rain poncho!!! Also big news...Matt LaPan from the New England Patriots is in charge of Fan Club Registry and all of the social media such as Facebook and twitter etc. He wants to highlight our club for this game and so he is going to come to our tailgate and he wants to take pictures etc. They will be posted on the Patriots Facebook on Sunday before the game and then somehow we have to call etc. so please be at the tailgate by 12:25. He wants a group shot of everyone wearing the rain ponchos for the Facebook!! Is that just too funny? So please don't be late or you'll miss it!! And let all of your friends and family know!!

10/2/12 If you weren't there Sunday then you missed the best time! It was just so exciting! We certainly needed it and it was great for our spirits as well as,for the morale of the team! THIS MAKES IT GREAT FOR THOSE OF US GOING TO FOXBORO NEXT WEEK!!

Our next game is this Sunday at 2:25 PM our time against none other than the Denver Broncos. Come ready to cheer and be loud. That is the key to their success, the louder we are the better they do. Don't forget that there will be several of us out in Foxboro for the Broncos game including Kevin and I and Cody. But rest assured you are in great hands with Mike and Jackie McCoy. If you want to help put up our banners etc., just go up and volunteer! Make sure you go listen very carefully for my Woo Woo. Hopefully I will be yelling my head off!!!

I have to apologize to those who have joined within the last 2 weeks...there was a mistake on my part with your emails not being put on my list. This has been corrected!!

For those going to the game at Gillette, there is a separate letter that was sent out. If you didn't receive it please email me.

GO PATS and we will hopefully have lots of pictures and stories to tell!!

9/29/12 Our next meeting is tomorrow, Sunday, September 30, for the Patriots–Bills game at 11:00AM. We are at our home bar the Fox and Hound. We will be staying in the North Room. The Fox and Hound Bar and Grill, 3101 New Center Point Drive, Colo. Springs, CO 80922 719–570–0500. Come and join us to cheer on the Pats against the Bills!

9/26/12 Let me first apologize for forgetting to write my letter last week!! I must have been so upset by our loss to Arizona that I just couldn't talk about it. Or it could have been that I left the next morning and went to Chicago to visit my daughter and then to Boston to visit family that did it!! Regardless, it was such an up and down game that we were all literally exhausted afterwards. And then to have another fiasco against those Ravens. God, I hate Ray Lewis.

I am not even going to talk about the reffing but I have been asked by multiple people to pass this info along and so I will:

Our next game and let's hope to God that we will have the real refs back is Sunday against the Bills in Buffalo at 11:00 AM our time. Come dressed in our gear and be ready to cheer. This Sunday is our first Members Only Raffle which will take place between the 3rd and 4th quarter.

Here are the rules for the Members Only Raffle: Paying adult members only. We will have 4 special raffle prize drawings for members only at the last game of the month. We will have these drawings on September 30th, October 28th, and (because the last game in November is actually on Thanksgiving Day, we will have the November drawing on December 2nd, and the last one on December 30th.If we go to the Superbowl again, (which I am not going to jinx us and say we are!!!) we will also have one at the Superbowl. The prize for September is a Pikes Peak Pats golf shirt and a Pikes Peak Pats spring jacket. Once you win for one of these special raffles, you can not win again.

Make sure that if you have signed up that you have received your special raffle ticket. We have been encouraging everyone to keep the ticket in your lanyard. But do whatever is best for you. If you have already signed up and haven't received your ID and ticket make sure to get them before the game starts.

A separate email will go out to everyone who is going to the game in Foxboro with info about that game. And not to worry we will have people filling in for Cody and I when we go to the Broncos game in Foxboro.

We are not in the most favorable position right now but it's still the beginning of the season and this weekend we have an important divisional game with the Bills who are 2–1. So come, be loud and have a good time. GO PATS!

9/10/12I hope everyone is thinking about the news I announced at the game on Sunday! Broncos VS Patriots in Patriots territory! Space is limited, and will fill up fast, so be sure to contact me sooner rather than later if you want to join in on Patriots fun in Foxboro! Go Pats!

9/9/12Well, what a great way to start the season! Nothing like a win on the road. A crazy start up for the club this year. We signed up 36 NEW members so far this year and we are only on week 1!! So welcome to all our new members and welcome back to everyone else for what is truly going to be a great ride. Unbelievable how our rookies and new drafts did so fabulously today. Not that we don't have work to do but we did stupendously this afternoon.

On my way home in the car Bill Belichick called me to thank us for our support but thought that we could do a little better with our cheering. He said even the guys in the locker room were taking about how quiet we seemed. Probably because Cody had to leave early this morning. We missed him. We'll have to step it up next week.

Let's go over the facts for our great announcement that we had at the beginning of the game!!

We have 30 tickets to be raffled off to lucky buyers for the October 7th Patriots/Broncos game at Foxboro. They are $99 tickets (face value); they will be $109 and are in the 320 321 and 322 section on the top of the second tier. It's on the visitors side in the southeast side of the stadium. We got these tickets through the largesse of the Vice President of Public Relations, Stacey James. A couple of us had talked about maybe trying to go to a Patriots game this year when the schedule came out we thought that the Broncos game would be a good bet as it was a 3 day weekend. But we had no idea of course that that was where Manning was going to go. So I wrote my email anyway and after a few weeks he responded and said he'd see what he could do. Well suffice it to say they sold out of the Broncos game in about 12 minutes. The NFL as you can well imagine is considering this their prime game of the season. So emails back and forth and finally a week ago he tells me to call him with a credit card and when I called him he told me what had transpired!!

Apparently, he gets 20–25 media tickets that he can give to people and was willing to do so for us but needed them for the massive numbers of media requests. He then went to the Director of the Ticket Office and he told them there wasn't a ticket to be had in the whole stadium. Robert Kraft had a bunch scattered all over the stadium under his name and he wasn't allowed to give them to anyone. Sooooooooo Stacey went up to Kraft's office and said, "Remember the group from Colorado the Pikes Peak Pats?" And Mr. Kraft said, "Of course. They had the MHK patches and that great huge tailgate and gave us Whoopie Pies!!" "They want tickets....release them to them!!" Is that the most wicked awesome story ever?

Rules for the Patriots vs. Broncos Game

  1. You had to have been a paying member in 2011.
  2. I already have 25 on the sign-up list and for everyone who was not at the game here today you have the chance to email me by Wednesday, 12 MN MST to submit your name.
  3. Thursday morning I will pick names out of a hat for the winning tickets.
  4. I have to have a check for $109 by Friday at 5PM.
  5. No one gets their ticket until the tailgate on October 7th.
  6. After we pick the names there will be a waiting list also picked out of the hat on Thursday. You will need to make your travel arrangements on your home although we do have a hotel in Franklin about 8 miles from Gillette. We will be looking into a small bus to drive us to the game. My cousin Joey who most of you probably met at either of our 2 games up at Mile High has graciously offered to do the tailgate for us. It will be $25 and include ribs, steak tips, beans etc. Joey does know how to throw a bash!! You can invite friends and family if you'd like.

So please email me if you are interested in buying a ticket. If we don't get many people signed up then all of the people on the list will get a ticket.

Notice our new addition to the North Room. We have a flag from Lt. Colonel April Cantwell who has been with us for a few years and just got back from a deployment in Afghanistan. She presented to us an American flag that was flown in Kabul. It is on the left side of the wall under the big TV's. Many thanks to April for her service and her phenomenal gift to the club. We have one other flag that we will be presenting to the New England Patriots when we go to Foxboro.

Our next game is the home opener on September 16th at 11AM MST at Gillette. We will be playing the Arizona Cardinals. Come dressed in all of your gear and be ready to CHEER! GO PATS!

9/7/12 Our first game is an away game at 11 AM our time against the Tennessee Titans in Tennessee. We are back at our home bar the Fox and Hound. We will still be staying in the North Room. The Fox and Hound Bar and Grill, 3101 New Center Point Drive, Colo. Springs, CO 80922 719–570–0500. We will have a very special announcement in between the first and second quarter. If you want to be a part of something super wicked awesome, then you better be there!

9/3/12 Special request: Over the past couple of years, Pikes Peak Pats members, working with The Homefront Cares Organization has been greeting Troops from Fort Carson here in Colorado Springs who are coming back from Afganistan after being deployed for a year. We greet them with a McDonald's quarter pounder, a drink and usually a dessert. We also give out free "Mother Hugs". Our name has come up suddenly for a greeting slot on Wednesday, September 5th at 8:50 in the morning. I am presently in California visiting my sons, so I will not be able to be there so was wondering if I could have 4–5 volunteers to help out. Please email me if you can help out. It will usually take up about 2 hours of your time. But we need your flexibility as sometimes the plane is delayed and sometimes come in early. We literally see them before their families. It will be the most rewarding 2 hours you have ever volunteered!

Each organization is asked to provide up to 4–5 greeters for each flight we meet. We have several individuals who are not aligned with an organization that they will use to fill in when necessary.
